Dear LPN/LVN/Paramedics

I am writing this thread of inform you to STAY AWAY from Distance Learning System Inc. 107 N. SR 135, Suite 302 Greenwood, IN 46142. If you been a victim of this fraudulent company then you know what I am talking about. First of all they don't tell you that they aren't actual school, they make you sign a contract and they don't even tell you that you have 72hr cancellation policy, they also say they have 97% pass rate, yeah right out of how many students. They have "consolers" that tell you, you are all set to start taking RN courses the you sign up with Excelsiors College and its different story. If you don't pay DLSI up front lets say you need to take 10 classes no matter whether you take them or not they still will collect your money. They will collect from your bank account and Janea Mea credit agency. Their professors are DUMB and have horrible accent, they even put a teacher to teach an online class with LARYNGITIS. Really?? My coworkers which are LPN all know this and they won't sign up!! Stay away you are better off going directly to actual college like Excelsior will give you study guide and you don't need to pay SCAMMED DLSI. Did you check out their Facebook all those idiots look like CRIMINALS!!! Spread the word around!!! I am a victim of DLSI SCAM I wish I knew before I signed up but learn from my mistakes! STAY AWAY FROM DLSI or any test publishing company even (COLLEGE NETWORK) I heard is BAD NEWS!!!

Yup, I signed up with them a long time ago before I knew better. I did find their study guides useful and when I started it I had actual classroom tutoring. I did not use the tutoring for the nursing portion (it had transitioned to online tutoring by then), but I would not have passed English Lit and A&P without the tutoring. Yes I paid for it through the nose, but it got me through it.

And yes, do not sign up with them or any other program.

I just wanted to clarify this statement...no one makes us sign contracts. We sign contractual agreements on our own volition and free will.

This becomes problematic when one party (read: the consumer) is not fully informed regarding the venture in which they are plunging. I recently received a Distance Learning Systems Inc. (DLSI) postcard in the mail and, yes, the company does advertise themselves as a 'unique LVN to RN program.'

In reality, DLSI is nothing more than a provider of overpriced tutoring services and study materials. DLSI is not a degree-granting entity, yet many people do not realize this important tidbit when they sign the contract.

I agree that publishing companies such as the College Network, DLSI, Rue, and Chancellors should be avoided at all costs. However, no one puts a gun to anyone's head to force him/her to sign on the dotted line. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

DLSI/College network SCAM!!! STAY AWAY THEY ARE FRAUD. LYING CHEATING NO CLASS COMPANY!

STAY AWAY THEY ARE FRAUD. LYING CHEATING NO CLASS COMPANY!

This was completely uncalled for. Your anger is displaced. YOU failed to fully educate YOURSELF and ensure YOU understood what was within the four corners of that contract in an effort to get a quicker/easier result of YOUR career goals. What does she have to do with your misfortune? She only told you the truth.

Is this comment in regards to The Commuter? If so, you might want to take a step back and reread her comment with a little more comprehension. She agreed the entity you mention is not a good choice but that it IS a choice to sign up with them. It is up to the consumer to do due diligence and research contracts before signing. The Commuter is one of the most level headed members here and I cringed at the way you talked about her.

 DLSI IS SCAM!
Thank you for the warnings. They are appreciated. :)

By the way, I am not a shill or an employee of DLSI. I have simply presented some truths that may or may not hurt.

Here is one final piece of advice: you may wish to stop living your life as a perpetual victim and start existing as an informed consumer. Life becomes so much more liberating once you drop the 'victim' label and start approaching situations as a sufficiently educated individual. Knowledge is power.

Good luck to you!

I get postcards weeklyu from them but i researched them and excelsior on line before so I didnt sign up with them. Im pretty good at reading and learning on my own so i figure i can save the money for the clincial weekend.

STAY AWAY FROM DLSI! They are scam, once they get you to sign the contract (your life away) there is no way to back out of it once you are enrolled and they will pull money from your bank accounts, payroll ... until they collect their balance! Their study guides are useless and have nothing to do with actual Pearson Vue test! Their instructors are foreign and have skipping video!!This company is LAME !!! STAY AWAY AND I am doing this to help others because when I searched DLSI they had bad and good reviews..but I know that DLSI had something with putting up "good" reviews about themselves
