Dear LPN/LVN/Paramedics
I am writing this thread of inform you to STAY AWAY from Distance Learning System Inc. 107 N. SR 135, Suite 302 Greenwood, IN 46142. If you been a victim of this fraudulent company then you know what I am talking about. First of all they don't tell you that they aren't actual school, they make you sign a contract and they don't even tell you that you have 72hr cancellation policy, they also say they have 97% pass rate, yeah right out of how many students. They have "consolers" that tell you, you are all set to start taking RN courses the you sign up with Excelsiors College and its different story. If you don't pay DLSI up front lets say you need to take 10 classes no matter whether you take them or not they still will collect your money. They will collect from your bank account and Janea Mea credit agency. Their professors are DUMB and have horrible accent, they even put a teacher to teach an online class with LARYNGITIS. Really?? My coworkers which are LPN all know this and they won't sign up!! Stay away you are better off going directly to actual college like Excelsior will give you study guide and you don't need to pay SCAMMED DLSI. Did you check out their Facebook all those idiots look like CRIMINALS!!! Spread the word around!!! I am a victim of DLSI SCAM I wish I knew before I signed up but learn from my mistakes! STAY AWAY FROM DLSI or any test publishing company even (COLLEGE NETWORK) I heard is BAD NEWS!!!
I received my RN BSN at traditional university 2017. ShaeMarie If you don't have anything nice to say don't comment! The reason I started this Blog is to help other students not make the same mistake as I did, when I looked to sign up with DLSI it wasn't because I wanted to cut corners it was convenient for me to do online course! So I figured out late that DLSI wasn't anactual school! So your comments are misleading! Maybe you shouldn't CUT corners!! I successfully completed my RN BSN and work in great magnet hospital! Have a blessed day!!
Yes. I was also stuck it to by Distance learning systems. I believed it would be a convenient way to get the next step. Unfortunately, I was paying, I passed the 1st class microbiology with an A. Then I had 1 payment not go through and and I couldn't connect with Ben Franklin. I tried to connect with distance learning and they referred me back to Ben Franklin. I was never able to connect to anyone at ben Franklin. Now its against my credit. I'm still trying to battle it over 5 years later and since that time, I have also battle cancer, narcolepsy and severe degenerative joint disease which has taken me out of the nursing career all together..and btw..I was locked out of the classroom..I get called 2 and 3 times a day from counselors trying to get me back into class and multiple times I have told them I would love to..but...and once I was told I could transfer to another degree and they would help me get the loan issue figured out..but to date that hasn't happened. Right now my focus is on my children. I do have a secondary partial degree that I had started prior to doing dsli, but again, I could not complete it because I ran out of financial assistance 6 months prior to my degree. It was a fully accredited online respectable program..just too much money. So I am stuck with a lot of debt and attempting to figure our how to get 2 kids to not make the same mistakes I did. I made the mistake. I own up to it. But I will tell anyone, yes it is a scam. There are other ways to do it. Any young person who wants to be a nurse..go get your bachelor's immediately. Don't be an LPN! You will work you butt off and so the same job as most RNs. I worked in management for years, doing the same jobs as an RN and I paid the price. I wanted in the workplace to feed my family fast. If I had to do it over again..I would have taken more time to get my bachelors degree first go round instead of trying to go to work immediately. Just learn from our mistakes.
