EXCELSIOR LPN-RN?!

Nursing Students Excelsior

  • 0Hey everyone I am writing this to see if ANYONE has had success in obtaining their RN through excelsior college? I've heard of people taking excelsior courses but I haven't heard of anyone finishing the college and getting their RN . Please send me some feedback on your experience with excelsior.

If you read some of the threads in this forum, I'm sure you'll find the information you are looking for. There are a lot of people that have completed the Excelsior program.

I finished a year ago, after taking the exams and passing the CPNE. Now I work at a level one trauma center hospital.

Horrible program, biggest scam, don't do it, they steal money.

I am about 3/4 of the way through. I have been very happy with the program so far. You have to be motivated to study, of course, if you are taking the exam route. My advice is just take your time, don't try to rush. The good thing about this program is that you can actually live your life while doing the program. Very flexible.

Graduated in 2008. :) Make sure you download and read the nursing catalog so that you have a firm grasp of how the program works. It is neither fast nor easy!

I graduated and received my license in 2010. Graduated from them again and received my BSN. I was also accepted into two Masters program with them, but my flame burned out with school. For now, though, my cup runneth over, thanks to Excelsior.

No. Average time seems to be about 2 to 3 years, depending on the individual, whether they do courses vs. exams, etc.

I enrolled in excelsior in September Of 2015, took classes for all my General ed credits and tested out of all nursing classes.

I am scheduled for my CPNE in the middle of July, so if all goes well just under 2 years for me.
