exam cram or saunders edition 4 practice questions

hi guys.....just getting your input on which is better today...bought exam cram practice question book and tried 3 practice test....i observe some of the rationales are far off.... sample of this is that in with a CPM machine you have to position it distal to the joint because patients might turn it off because of pain.....but i read in some books that you have to teach the patient the off button in case its to painful for the patient....so which is right?

but on the positive side the exam cram is more nearer to nclex questions dont know for sure if its true but i just felt it because im a second taker myself....this book is also certified by pearson vue so i MAYBE just MAYBE the questions are really near the actual test. but i want to hear your opinions

i was just wondering if anyone here is rooting for exam cram and if it is better than saunders or should i buy saunders after i finish with exam cram....just want to know your opinion thanks guys!

You have to know the content. NCLEX questions can't be predicted. So any review that gets the material across to you is going to be helpful. Suggest you start with one resource and if you have time, go on to another. That is part of the "do as many questions as possible and study the rationales" approach. If you can't afford to buy several resources, then look for them on discount book websites or to check out free from libraries.

Start with Saunders cd/book followed by Exam Cram. In this way, you are more confident with your answers. Saunders is rich in contents that will help you retain the information you need.

I graduated in 2006, failed once in 2006 and again July 2007. My third attempt was this past wed (still waiting on official results) I pretty much only used CramExam, Saunders we used all through school and I just dont care for that book much. I got the good pop up with 85 questions....

Used all Cram Exam

answered maybe 400 Saunders questions

passed after 5 years !

Honestly though I would go with what book you like using, I hated studing when I was using Saunders, but I enjoyed the cram exam disk alot.... therefore I would study more....

I used the Saunders book and loved it. I learnt alot from the book/cd because it is content rich. Having content knowledge is not bad at all and will prove useful. I am currently using exam cram and like you said, their rationales even answers are off. I just want to complete it before moving to my next resource.

I suggest you start out with Saunders and then move on to practice questions with exam cram. Good Luck!

i already have the saunders 4th edition content book...it was really helpful and i still use it for content matters...look up subjects that are less known to me....i was thinking if the saunders q&a book is as good as the content book...anyone tried it before?

thanks.....this gave me encouragement when you used exam cram also....i should finish this one up to....got another friend also that used exam cram and passed the 3rd time with it.....i should finish this one and read the rationales...just sometimes i get shocked about the answers in the book :D.......just want to know also how many uses this book

The cd that comes with the content book has enough number of questions for you to cover. I mainly used the cd and refer to the book for reference and to study pharma. After Saunders, do Exam Cram cd twice if possible. Breathe and be patient with your studies.

thanks lavender.....i think ive finished the saunders cd 4th edition questions because everytime i take an exam there the questions are all familiar....so doing the exam cram book right now....then the cd after the book....

i think no one here is complaining about exam cram today so maybe its safe to assume that this book is reliable and safe and effective....thanks guys

exam cram has too many mistakes...thats whi i never used them at all...
