From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?
Make sure you do the lit search under database search in the library. It's a straight forward assignment. That's about the only thing that makes sense this week. This Bb thing is a mess...I hate it. I received no announcement about quiz extension...what a drag. I don't want to get behind on week 2. There is a lot of reading in this course and those who have taken the quiz can attest to the importance of reading EVERY WORD. Okay, so this class is important for grad school but my gosh, it's no fun at all.

Thanks ladies, I'll use the Alice database for the lit assignment. No quiz extension for my section either mtsteelhorse. There is definitely a LOT of less than exciting reading.....
I'm soooooo not looking forward to taking the quizI've read all the chapters, I think that's a first! I'm used to classes that have ten chapters per week...still not looking forward to it though, especially after the ethics one.
It was not fun. I got 4 wrong. You have to be really careful with each question, some are obvious. Time warning didn't work for me ( supposed to warn you when you count down to 5 min left). They also don't have the ability to see your submitted answers, so you can't see what answer you gave, only that you got it wrong.
On a brighter note, next week doesn't look too bad.
Evidence Based Practice is my last nursing course and I have to say that so far I am not impressed. I thought the so-called "activity" was an activity not a quiz so thank goodness it was non-graded. It has not been fun navigating to find everything we need and my stuff on BB didn't show up until the afternoon of the 28th. I'm scared to death to take the quiz as the study guide is vague to say the least. I will be so glad when this is over.
I thought you had to take all these courses before Excellence. Have you already taken that? Bb is a drag. Know the study guide, best advice I can give. Good luck. We'll all survive!
I don't think that is necessarily the rule. I have seen people who took it before and the advisor just overwrote it?! I am taking excellence parallel to research and I guess it should be of interest but it's a snooze fest all around...The only thing that sucks is that I have nobody else taking excellence so I am on my own
I also found out from my TA that she has the understanding it is NOT possible to edit a post so her advice was to make sure it is correct before submitting it and formatting errors will not affect the grade.

My TA reported the same thing...cannot edit posts. Oh, how I miss Epic! Is there a lot of reading in Excellence? I have been tempted to double up next session with Leadership (4580) but I don't know if that will be too much to swallow in 5 weeks. However, I would love to be done in Nov!

Did you mean the Lit Searches one? Not hard, had to use ALICE and find articles that fit the criteria they wanted and the rest was easy.
