Esme Needs Your Prayers and Well Wishes

Esme had emergency surgery Saturday and is in ICU. She is doing better, but is still very uncomfortable.

She could use some extra prayers and well-wishes from her friends here on allnurses.

As nurses, we frequently hear "emergency surgery" and "ICU" in the same sentence, and we don't generally think much about it. Until it involves a friend.

Esme, I know we don't know each other well, but hear me when I tell you that I know you are a fighter. I know you are where you need to be, surrounded by talented, professional caregivers who are going to help get you well quickly. I will send up some prayers, keep you in my thoughts, and I know you'll be well in no time! Sending love and hugs.

On a side note can you imagine the pressure of being her nurse? I would be nervous as a new grad taking care of her clinical instructor.
