Hi here in MA new nurses start at $25.83 with a night diff of $4.50 and evening diffof $3.50 There is no difference between ER/ICU or floor nursing
We pay by nursing experience not ER experience the senior nurse with >10 years as a nurse and has worked more then one year in the facility makes 46.75/hr soory did not mean to brag
In the hospital I work the start pay for new grads is $17.50 an hour, there is no "unit" differential or increased hourly rate for certifications, BSN'S and ADN's make the same...and I'm pretty sure that is that same for the other hospital in town...
I work in Hickory NC, I have 10 years experience
Here in Australia we get different pay in all States, but in my state we get from first year to eight year a pay increase then it just stops there, you dont get any more for any area you work in. As for ALSC, TNCC u dont get any more pay. So for your whole career u stay at Year 8 pay!! No incentives to do anything else.

That's atrocious! How backward thinking do you have be to pay people that way! I really feel for you.

Our baby nurses start at $18.75 with no extra for certifications. I've been around a while and make $32.54 with no extra for certifications. Certifications are required to work in the area, not something one gets to earn extra money.
