Since ATI provides no student assistance to interpret scores, let's help each other! If enough of us enter our complete TEAS scores, we'll be able to compare notes to see how we rank in different programs, what to aim for if your school requires a Program percentile rank rather than a series of scores, etc. There is another thread where people are sharing their scores, but it looks like most people are just sharing their Adjusted Individual Total Score or whatever applies to their particular school. By sharing all the info, we can help each other better.
Please copy the scores below and then change them to your own, in your post! thanks! Please make sure to check your Program Type! It's right under the name of the school where you took it, on your score sheet.
Program Type: PN
Adjusted Individual Total Score: 66.7%
ATI Academic Preparedness Level: Proficient
Mean - National: 64.3%
Mean - Program: 56.0%
Percentile Rank - National - 56
Percentile Rank - Program - 81
Reading Adjusted Individual Score 64.3%
Mathematics A.I.S. 76.7%
Science A.I.S. 62.5%
English and Language Usage A.I.S. 66.7%
I just took the TEAS V today and received these scores:
Program Type: ADN-BSN
Adjusted Individual Score: 82.7%
Preparedness Level: Advanced
Mean- National -64.3%
Mean- Program- 64.9%
Percentile Rank- National: 92
Percentile Rank- Program: 93
Reading: 73.3%
Math: 80%
Science: 91.7%
English: 83.3%
I focused studying on science most and went on YouTube- Khan Academy & Crash Course were so helpful. I obviously needed to study more on Reading and Writing though haha. ( If someone is reading this what are some good tips to improve a reading and writing score?) I used the ATI Manual and McGraw Hill 5 TEAS test. This is what I thought of them:
Comparing the Test to the ATI Manual
Reading- 4 very lengthy passages to read. Use time wisely with this section. Try to answer as many questions as possible. I ran out of time taking this! Also due to ATI servers shutting down. My test barely had any reading-math questions.
Math-
Memorize some conversions because some formulas were not given to me. Also memorize the work rate formula (I got one).
My friends were able to use a calculator on their TEAS test so I studied using one. A little mistake on my end! Decimals and fractions suddenly became my enemy. If all the questions were Algebraic expressions I would be in heaven =D.
Science- like others have said this was random! Blood clots, Boyle's law, and Cranial Nerves functions all were part of my test that wasn't really mentioned in the ATI.
I didn't need to do any math problems with KE/PE, or Vaporization and Condensation. I just needed to know the concept.
Comparing the Test to McGraw Hill
Math- I didn't get a single geometry question.
Science: No physics, serial dilution, just so many conceptual questions and questions of functions of cells.

Horrific Test Experience
I took my test at my community college.
During my Reading section, ATI servers SHUT DOWN and I could barely concentrate over the proctor's talking and other student's shock that their test was closing on them too. Almost everyone was being booted off of their test around the same time. My window shut down at least 4 times as I was trying to read a long passage and then I had to wait for the proctor to enable me to get back into the test. It was an aggravating process. And it was scary watching the window suddenly freeze up and say "please wait a moment" while the timer still went on. Thankfully my time was restored but I had to RUSH to finish this section. I barely made it and obviously need to STUDY more lol. But I just thought I had an unfair time. This was the 1st time apparently too that this had happened.

My score probably isn't adequate for the quarter and competitive school I'm applying to so I just bought the online exams and I hope I can get an "Exemplary" score next time. I'm positive about the future and I hope this helped someone who is first taking the test or going to take the test again like I am!
@chibicarru thank you for your post! I'm taking my test in less than a month! I'm having a hard time with the science portion as well. I'm studying the ATI study guide. What do you recommend then if the science portion was random? Jeez! Hope they update the ATI study guide then if that is the case =/ If anyone can post tips that would be great! Thanks!
meowmeownrse,
I think most people mean random as in amongst the possible material in the ATI study manual. You might get 8 A&P questions or 4. You might get 6 questions on cell biology while another person gets 8. Keep in mind that the test contains some ungraded questions too. So this might explain why ChibiCarru had some questions like cranial nerves and Boyle's Law....? I am guessing here because he/she did score 91.7% on science so I do not see how this can then be proclaimed as "random" unless he/she is a science major!

We had this same issue, as well, in the reading section. It caused some chaos. The teacher had temporarily stepped out during this time. Someone ran and got someone. It was a relief that the time had re-started, but what a thing to have happen when most probably already have a lot of anxiety about the test! (This was beginning of July)
My results:
Program Type: ADN
Adjusted Individual Score: 75.3%
Preparedness Level: Proficient
Mean- National -64.3%
Mean- Program- 64.9%
Percentile Rank- National: 79
Percentile Rank- Program: 80
Reading: 90.5%
Math: 70%
Science: 75%
English: 63.3%
Not my best, but I passed. If I hadn't done so horribly in English, my over all score would have been a little better. By the time I got to English, I had a splitting headache, was the last one testing, and was just ready to be done. Not an excuse, but I wasn't as careful as I should have been during English and went through it way too quickly. Normally English is one of my best subjects!
I was pleased with math and science considering they are normally my worst subjects (and haven't taken in about 12 years!) and scored a 43% and 39% respectively on the first practice test just 5 days before the test.
Wow, this is very unfortunate. I would probably not be happy whatsover if the servers went down during the exam. I mean this is a very high anxiety time and a disruption like this could easily cause folks to score more poorly. It seems to me that ATI and the colleges should offer students a free retest if this occurs. I mean students depend on being accurately evaluated so this seems totally sensible to me.
Sorry that you guys had to go through all that! That just plain stinks!

@ meowmeownrse For the Science section study from the ATI manual but go DEEPER. This is why I say it is random because it pulls deep information that isn't so clean and perfect like it is on the ATI manual example questions (where the answer is found in the short explanation). Know some more basic gas laws, know your biology well! I did fairly well in my science courses so I just had to do a little review. Go to things like crashcourse and Khan Academy on youtube to help you with reviewing chemistry and biology. =) The forum with rainbowvahmet was my study guide and I think it should be for anyone =). Give yourself at minimum 2 weeks to do many tests as possible. I did 8 tests ( 5 mgraw + 2 ati test + 1 online test) in total within 2 weeks for prep. I think probably a month of studying for an hour- to 2 hrs each day would do the job of getting an exemplary score. =D
I had a stomach bug the day before and day of my exam, but couldn't reschedule because my exam date was the morning after Labor Day. I almost lost my cookies on the bus to take the exam and during the test. Fun times. I'll be retaking the exam because my math score is too low for the program I'm applying to. Sigh...
Program Type: ADN (not sure why it says this, since I'm going for a BSN)
Adjusted Individual Total Score: 90.7%
ATI Academic Preparedness Level: Exemplary
Mean - National: 64.3%
Mean - Program: 64.9%
Percentile Rank - National - 99
Percentile Rank - Program - 99
Reading Adjusted Individual Score 97.6%
Mathematics A.I.S. 73.3% (I struggle with math, to begin with, and guess when I thought I was going to be sick again. I didn't answer 7 of the questions, but my score says maybe I did fine on the ones I did answer.)
Science A.I.S. 91.7%
English and Language Usage A.I.S. 93.3%
Program Type: BSN
Adjusted Individual Total Score: 71.3 %
ATI Academic Preparedness Level: Proficient
Mean - National: 64.3%
Mean - Program: 70.6%
Percentile Rank - National - 69
Percentile Rank - Program - 50
Reading Adjusted Individual Score 73.8%
Mathematics A.I.S. 63.3%
Science A.I.S. 72.9%
English and Language Usage A.I.S. 73.3%
This is my first attempt, I am going to retake it in a couple months in hopes of scoring better because this will not suffice for a BSN program. I didn't do as well because I freaked a little during the test, which is odd because I never have test anxiety. Thankfully I gave myself enough time to retake since I don't have to apply to programs until January.

I received an adjusted scored of 83.3% on the TEASV. I just hope its enough to get me in the ADN program. I wish I could have took a refresher science class for the test, I have been out of college for 10 years and LPN school for 8.
