Do you have any idea on how many exams and interviews you will undergo before they will accept you for the training? Let me share with you the requirements needed: resume, photocopy of PRC license, board rating, board rating certificate, class ranking, GWA, TOR, diploma, and 2 pcs. 2x2 pics (white background)..
Hello young_achieRN! I texted one of our batch mate couple of days ago..She inquired about the schedule of our batch and sadly, SLMC wasn't able to provide any answer..But she said that it will definitely not in this month. So let's try inquiring again by March! Good luck!
I also called DCA this week. They told me to wait for their announcement and cannot give a definite schedule for our batch as of now. The lady on the phone told me as well to keep my lines open for announcements. Do you think we should hold on? I heard from a friend in batch 2 they were hold for a couple of times. That is why they ended this 1st week of march. Sighs
As far as i know, SLMC QC offers SN a salary around 13 thousand while in GC it's like 18 thousand.
I'm sorry young_achieRN but the REAL pay of SLMC for staff nurse is only around 11k for both QC and GC.
My cousin who works there told me that they are still on freeze-hiring due to the over staffing in GC. She is previously assigned in GC but transferred in QC.
@ young_achieRN and miaka84: hi! i'm also from batch 3 and i'm glad that you guys are here. my groupmate (i'm from group 1) sent a text message to Dr. ******* to ask when are we going to start our training. she said that she's sorry for not coming back to us in a timely manner. they are closely monitoring the performance of their nurses in SLMC-GC, which also affects the hiring process in QC. she requested that we give them 90 days and if they didn't call, we are free to move elsewhere. she didn't have the chance to clarify if that 90 days started after the med exam or 90 days after we inquired because she's a very busy woman. anyway, i will make a follow-up text sometime this month to ask if there is change re our training schedule. for the meantime, try to keep yourselves busy. it's hard to expect something that is not clear. i hope to see u guys soon! :)

Hi drebbie! Thanks for that. Hmm.., I am supposed to start my training last year so I was oriented about the salary. As far as i can remember, it's 13 thousand for regular and 11 thousand for a probationary staff. But in case you have a relative there who receives 11 k regularly, I guess it's because of the sss,tax etc. were being cut off that's why she receives 11k/month.
A friend of mine in GC claims that her salary is around 18k. I wonder if she is in a special area?
the latest news that i received was that we need to undergo the medical exam again..(from ma'am ***)
but this time, st.luke's will be shouldering it..but about the reimbursement from the first med exam, im not sure if we're still gonna get that,, hmmm...and,,,still no DATE to when training will start,,,, waiting in vain....................... how about the others? any news?
