Emory Summer 2014 ABSN/MSN

Published

Hello,

The application for the Emory School of Nursing is now available. I have started my application and want to connect with anyone else who is applying to Emory.

Oh, well that makes sense. So did that someone receive an acceptance letter stating that he or she got in on the condition that they complete their pre-requisites? I still have 2 pre-req's on mine that I am currently retaking. Then again, I would think that Opus would show that in the decision section. I'm so confused:down:.

I don't have any to-dos, but the letter did say that the official letter will include info about the deposit and "any other conditions of your acceptance." I'm not sure if that would include outstanding pre-reqs or not, but that's how it reads. I really can't understand why they wouldn't give everyone answers today, unless there was a glitch. :(

Yeah I'm thinking more of a glitch... Just strange that no one that found out got rejected. Not a good sign for those of us still waiting :(

I got accepted and I still have to taking one-pre req. The acceptance letter was in the View Online Decision area and my outstanding class was in my admissions to do list. Hope that helps.

As per Emory- the admissions committee couldnt get through everyone in time. They are still accepting people, denying people, and wait listing people. Incredibly frustrating.

Did they give any timeframe on when they would be letting everyone else know? I guess I am just worried that my application is not done like I think it is... Even though I have not had anything in my to do list since beginning of November.

HCE2014 -- Where did you get the information about the admissions decisions?

Good morning everyone!

I called Emory this morning and I talked to an admissions counselor. He said that he apologized for this and since so many people have applied, admission decisions should be finalized by next Friday. Good luck to everyone! *fingers crossed*

HCE2014 -- Where did you get the information about the admissions decisions?

I called the admissions office

Thanks for the info. fjjones and HCE2014 :) I'm also in the "decision not available" boat. It's somewhat comforting that there's still a possible chance to get in. I have a question that I'm hoping someone could answer. Under the to do list. Does anybody else's OPUS say that the GRE score is initiated? I have a feeling that my GRE score was not properly received. The university butchered my name (they spelled my last name wrong). I have feeling that this may have conflicted in my GRE being sent to the right place. I called one of the advisers. Hopefully I'll hear from then soon. Although, I'm already looking into plan B. I've waited for a response long enough.

They said they had a "uniquely large number of applications" and "hope to have all decisions posted within the next 1-2 weeks." Sorry, guys. I know this must be really frustrating. It seems like they could have warned people of this before the 15th.

Thank you all for the information as I received the same email stating that there was a surplus of applicants this year so they are running behind by 1 to 2 weeks. My question is ----- is Opus going to be updating with these admission decisions throughout the next few weeks, or are all of the remaining decisions going to be finalized and released by next Friday?
