Emory Summer 2014 ABSN/MSN

Published

Hello,

The application for the Emory School of Nursing is now available. I have started my application and want to connect with anyone else who is applying to Emory.

Ames78: I found out that initiated means that it wasn't received. You might want to contact someone. I had to call Emory admissions and ask them to send proof to the nursing school that the scores were indeed sent on time. For those who have been accepted. Did you submit your application early? I'm wondering if their going in order of received.

Are you finding these "initiated" things under the to do list. My to do list does not have anything, but I got my application in beginning of November so I think it is weird they have not gotten to me yet if some of you applied on December 1st. I am worried they are missing stuff and I do not know it. Let me know if this is under to do list or if you are finding it somewhere else. THanks so much!

Newmy123 Cograts! When did you get your application in?

aeflynt I submitted my application before Thanksgiving. How about you? Have you heard anything yet? In the email that I got this morning from Emory, it said that admissions decisions are still being made over the next 1-2 weeks.

Newmy123 did your account say not available yesterday and then turned to available today? Congrats!

Yes, I found that information under the "to do" list. If your do list doesn't show any items then it most likely means that your application is complete. Although you should confirm that with the school. I didn't realize my application was incomplete until today. It was an error made on their part. This error occurred because the nursing department misspelled my name and the GRE score was not linked up to anyone.

I second HCE2014. Stats would be greatly appreciated :) I still don't have an answer from Emory.

Newmy123- I submitted my application on November 8th. So a little before you. I have not heard anything yet. It just says no decision has been made. I am wondering if they are on the fence about me. I am one of those applicants that is not a good test taker. My GRE is under their standards, but I am well above and beyond on everything else. I applied to the CNM/FNP track. I have been a patient educator and Patient care tech for 8 years in OBGYN (working with midwives) and my grades in my prereqs are mostly A's. My undergraduate degree is public health. I know that is not helpful to everyone waiting because I have not gotten in yet, but there are my stats. I am thinking about all of you!!! And fingers crossed! Hopefully we hear soon and much much congrats to those of you that have gotten in. So excited for you all!!!

hey everyone! I was accepted for the FNP track yesterday! Although it seems I was one of the few, so sorry to hear about the confusion. I'm happy to share my stats if that is helpful. My application was finished on Dec 1, my GRE was a 56% in Quantitative and 66% in Qualitative..writing was lower at 4.0. I'm currently a 24 year old Registered Dietitian working at an alternative health care clinic and have a side private nutrition consulting practice. No other grad school, just a Bachelors from Indiana University. My undergrad GPA was a 3.9 and my pre-reqs were all A's. I hope that helps! Good luck to everyone still waiting!!!

Hi everyone! I also submitted my application on December 1st. My GRE scores were below average but luckily they aren't everything! I have a 3.93 gpa and A's in all of my pre-req courses. Unlike most ppl who apply to this program I'm still in undergrad. I will be graduating in May with my B.S. in Biology. I was so scared I wouldn't get in because I don't have a Master's like many others. Has anyone else that's been accepted still in undergrad?

Hey future friends! I also just got accepted into the ABSN/MSN for FNP! I think my exact reaction was increased heart rate and hyperventilation, crying with happy tears and rocking in a fetal position to calm myself down enough to call my family. I cannot wait to start school and meet you all! Good luck to everyone!

Still havent heard anything. Ugh.

HCE2014 I have not hear anything either. I feel like I am going to go crazy. At least we know we are not the only ones...

Hi all! Don't stress out if you haven't heard anything. Again, the email I got said that decisions are still being made over the next 1-2 weeks. I was accepted into the FNP track, and my stats were 3.5 undergrad GPA in Human Biology, all A's in my prereqs, and average GRE scores with a 5.5 on the writing section. Does anyone know how many people are accepted? Also, who is planning to attend the admitted students day in Feb? Are there any current Emory students out there who can talk about what takes place on admitted students day and whether it is worthwhile going? I'm from Seattle so need to decide if it's worth the cost to attend!
