Emory Summer 2014 ABSN/MSN

Hello,

The application for the Emory School of Nursing is now available. I have started my application and want to connect with anyone else who is applying to Emory.

Nothing in the mail today. I think my head will explode if they don't update OPUS or send out emails today. Two of my three kids spent the night with a stomach virus (the third had it Monday, and I half-expect it to hit me while I'm on the phone with Vandy tomorrow). To say I need some good news today is an understatement. Also, it better be good news. If not, that cake I've been fantasizing about is definitely happening. Fingers crossed for everyone!

Hi All,

I've been stalking this thread for the past week as I am also an ABSN/MSN applicant, for FNP. I'm from California, so I expect to be one of the last people to receive snail news, good or bad. It's also reassuring to know that I am not freaking out alone. Fingers crossed for us!

I think someone should call and figure out when we'll be getting the news via OPUS :)

I just called. It will be available in OPUS at 5:00 (I'm assuming eastern time). We can do this!

I wonder why they decided to change their notification method from year's past? I guess I can breathe for the next 5 hours and hope for the best.

I imagine with so many more applicants, it was maybe just easier to notify everyone at the same time. I'm just glad to know we'll definitely have answers today.

Hey guys! Thank you gabookworm for calling! I think we all would have attacked the mailmen (and women) if opus wasn't updated and we didn't get a letter today, lol. I want to offer my two cents in that whether or not we get into this program does not make or break our futures or nursing careers. If we don't get in, that just means there is a different plan that has not yet revealed itself. If we do get in, then great! I think with great programs like this we tend to think that this is the end all be all, but its not. Its just a wonderful opportunity, not the decision that makes or breaks our lives. I am so glad that rapsoide started this thread, but it has helped me keep my sanity with you guys, and not attack the mailman! Lol ( or mail woman of course).

OK, after a rather hellish night of playing nurse to my family, I'm lying down for a nap. With any luck, I will sleep until at least 5, and the wait will be over! Fingers crossed for everyone!!
