The Fall 2021 application for Emory opens tomorrow so I wanted to create this thread for people to connect, share experiences with the application process, and stats (if you choose to). Good luck everyone!!

It should show up by now. I would send a message to [email protected] and let them know.

Does anyone know how long the MN + MSN program will take? I'm slightly confused because on the webpage Pre-Licensure + MSN under curriculum, it states that the first semester is in the Summer but under just the Pre-Licensure's curriculum, it states that the first semester is fall so I am not sure when it will begin and how long the program itself is.

The website seems very outdated!

Under accelerated programs there are 4 overall options. One option being the Accelerated Master of Science in Nursing (Pre-licensure + MSN), which is 4 semester starting in the Summer to complete the "pre-licenssure" or MN portion of the program. Then you go on to complete the MSN part where you can choose full-time or part-time enrollment. Another option is the Master of Nursing (Pre-licensure program), which is 4 semester starting in the fall. That is how the two programs are different. Also, with the first option you'll receive an MN and MSN and you choose your specialty when applying. The other you'll just receive your MN and you do not have to decide your specialty at the current moment. Hope this helps!

I'm currently taking nutrition and I also have classes to take next semester. Would it be strange if I emailed the admissions team to let them know what my current grades are (I have an A in the class). I'm just worried that they will look past my application because I have courses in progress.

The inake form that you fill out with your application is meant to let then know which classes you have in progress and no, it does not count against you. They specifically say that you can apply while courses are in progress so don't worry about that. If accepted, it is contigent on completing those classes.

For those who applied early admission and are still waiting on a decision, im guessing we will find out on or before nov 13 (hopefully) since that is when the priority decisions are set to release. Couple more weeks!

Hi everyone! I applied to the DABSN + MSN program and am super excited/nervous about everything.

I love following this thread and made an OPUS account. I have been checking it regularly, and noticed today that there was a green button that says "Pay Admissions Deposit" on the application status page. The status still says 'application recieved' and the emory application portal still looks the same. I wanted to see if anyone else sees the same button? I don't remember seeing it before, but I also always check with a lot of nerves and totally could have just missed it!

Wait I just checked and mine says admitted and I have the same button! But I haven't heard anything from them.

CONGRATS!

I'm confused because I have the button, but it still says application recieved instead on admitted.

I'm so happy for you!! Great job!

Thanks! I feel like I don't trust it but it's still a good sign. I would assume they are in the process of updating statuses so maybe later today?

Hi Ad2020,

Congratulations! Which program did you apply to? What was your application deadline date?
