Emory Master of Nursing (MN) 2021

The Fall 2021 application for Emory opens tomorrow so I wanted to create this thread for people to connect, share experiences with the application process, and stats (if you choose to). Good luck everyone!!

I also have 2 prerequisites pending. As long as they are finished prior to matriculation I don't think it will hurt, otherwise they would specifically say they needed to be completed prior to the application being submitted. I also applied to the Fall 2021 MN cohort. Good luck!

I was wondering if we need a letter of recommendation? Because there is no place on the application to add our recommenders.

No, not for the application process. I don't know if they will require any after a decision, I doubt it. I've noticed some schools are doing away with that for second degree students.

It is optional. If you do choose to, they would have to email it directly to Emory.

Hi all!

Do y'all think it would be a bad idea to email admissions and ask if they have everything they need from you? I have red x's across the board, but I believe that I've turned in everything needed. Yesterday they emailed me about transcripts, but I replied and sorted everything out.

Absolutely not, email them! I emailed them yesterday because I had some red x's on a transcript and my degree...it was fixed right away. They do everything by hand so don't assume the computer checks it off when its received and don't be afraid to ask questions. Good luck.

Hi Everyone,

I applied for the Distance-ABSN (Fall 2021) and decisions are expected on November 13. I am nervous and excited all at the time.

My stats are:

Prerequisite GPA - 4.0 - (I have 3 pre requisite courses left)

Bachelors GPA - 3.0

1st Masters degree - GPA 3.77

2nd Masters degree - GPA 3.83

No TEAS - applied for a waiver

  1. I submitted my payment, however, it still says awaiting payment on my application and I did not receive an email saying that my application was paid for. 

 

Am I doing something wrong? Should I email admissions?
