Emory applicant for 2011

Greetings everyone:

I just sent in my application for Emory University for next year. I was wondering if anyone else has applied or are planning to apply. Currently, I am taking classes at GPC. I would love to start a little support group. If anyone is a student at Emory and would like to offer some advice it would be much appreciated too. Good luck everyone!

@creece Did you get a call from Katie today to congratulate you on getting accepted? She asked me if I had any questions and I told her no, but then I remembered that I would've liked to see what my recommenders said about me. :)

I receive a call from Katie today congratulating me on the acceptance and asked me whether I had any questions. And she also said a package will be sent to me by the end of this week which includes information and paper works for financial aid.

for all of you who have been accepted to the ABSN program, are any of you going to the accepted student even on Thursday the 24th?? I can't go, unfortunately, but I was planning on going to Emory this Saturday for the general information session so I can at least see the facilities.. is anyone else going?

I wish i am in the group for Friday decision. OMG!! I am tired of waiting. I better know whether i am in or out.

I dunno..i guess we will know when we get the packet in the mail! Prob in a month or two I would assume...i'm going to hold off on paying it (if i can) until I know about financial aid!!

Anyone know how big the BSN class is? I assume that 2nd BSN students are combined with first degree BSN.

I was advised that the BSN class has 110 accepted students in it.

This was out of 415 applicants :-)

Wow!! that's just a 25% acceptance rate. I'm waiting to get my results tomorrow.

@hereicome- how do you know that you're in the group that will be finding out tomorrow? Did you call? And do you know if they did consider you for priority even though there was a mixup with your transcript? Thanks!

I sent an email to Katie asking if I should expect my results tomorrow because I had submitted everything on time, but for the mixed up with my transcript which was only updated on the 1st of Feb. She said yeah I'll get the results tomorrow at 5pm. I had called yesterday morning and someone told me I'll have to wait till the end of march. I'm just waiting to see what happens.
