Anyone interested in joining a facebook page for all of us newly admitted students? I was thinking of creating a group- that way we can easily swap info and things.

Robine- I was just looking over the orientation schedule and from 11:10-11:25 it says CPR & PDA information, so that should cover our questions! I'm going solo, so hopefully I'm not the only one!

Hi everyone, Anyone get their financial aid package yet? I'm still waiting, although they said I should have a letter going out this Friday. I'm just wondering if anyone got awarded anything more than federal aid? Also, Robine- I was going to wait for the orientation to think about pda's, etc. In other nursing programs I've read that they will require a certain pda or at least that you can run certain apps. I don't think I'm going to get a new computer (I think mine is fine for now), but I may get an iPad...

I talked to someone in financial aid yesterday and they said they were really behind- still working on summer students and the summer classes started weeks ago! Yikes.... Erin, I'm going to try and message you!

Just got my package in the mail yesterday! Hooray! Now, wading through all of this stuff.... wow! Erin- have you done your cpr already? Also, I don't see anything in here about the orientation dates, how did you all know about that? Does anyone have a Mercer ID yet? And finally... how is the financial aid coming along? I've called their office with questions but haven't heard back yet.

Oh my gosh! I got in, too! I just heard on Friday... I still haven't gotten my actual letter in the mail yet, so I'm dying to know what's in it. @Erin- I live in Jax, too! PM if you want to chat. So, anyone want to give me a tipoff on what's in the package? When do you hear about financial aid? So excited!!!!

Wow... I wonder what that means? I'm assuming that they're finishing up decisions on applications that were submitted after the priority deadline by Weds. Then, those on the wait list will be granted admission as spots become available after that? I'm hoping anyway...

Well coincidentally, I emailed them earlier today and they said that their deadline for decisions is Weds. I don't know if that means all decisions will be posted on OPUS by Weds, but at least all decisions will be posted VERY soon now. I'm with you... it is insanely stressful!

I got waitlisted! Finally heard today. I'm thrilled that I'm still in the running, but... now, more waiting!:anbd:

I'm still waiting, too... I actually applied before the deadline but only found out afterwards that my transcript came in late, so I've been waiting since January! Have you heard anything yet? They originally told me I'd have an answer at the end of March but every week since then they've either told me "by the end of the week" or "within 2 weeks". I could die!

Well, my advisor emailed me yesterday and said that she is swamped and at this point because they are so close to the final deadline, most people probably won't hear until around May 15th. I swear, part of my soul died when I got that email! I am going to have to find somewhere to take abnormal psych online because my current school doesn't offer it- but classes start before May 15th, so it will be a gamble. If I take it and don't get in, it will have been a waste because none of the other schools I've looked at require it. Ohhhh well. Patience is a virtue, right??

Did anyone go to the information session on April 1? What did they go over? Also, does anyone know how many students they take for fall and when we should get a response?? I'm really worried because I have to take abnormal psych over the summer if I get accpeted, but classes start on May 9th... I'm hoping I know before then because Mercer is the only school I've applied to who requires it so I'm not going to take it unless I get in!
