Hi everyone!

I figured I would start a thread for the upcoming application cycle for Emory's ABSN program. I am excited to get everything in and apply, I am just waiting to take my TEAS.

Has anyone heard anything about final notice dates? I have not heard anything either way, but assume that it's not a good sign. I still have red check marks on my application as well, so do not know if that means it has not been reviewed yet or not. Just wondering if anybody had some insight. Thanks.

I spoke with admissions briefly. They said another 1-2 weeks. They said they had a record number of applicants for the ABSN program, so it is taking them more time than expected.

Has anyone received any information on opus regarding financial aid?

No, I have been emailing financial aid and they said that info would start going out today.

I have been checking and haven't seen anything yet- hoping I do soon so I know if I can accept my offer or not!

I'm in the same boat as you guys! They've received all of my information, but I haven't gotten notification on what my award package will be, yet. I'm hoping it is soon, as well, so I can decide whether or not I should put my deposit down! The price for tuition is so high. I'm really hoping to hear good news!

Has anyone talked to financial aid and received their package yet? Or know when we should be expecting to?

Mgates4, I still have not heard anything. I've been checking OPUS, though, and have seen that my "pay admission's deposit" link has gone away... I'm not sure why this is, but am assuming it's a glitch in the system. It's still making me nervous!! Has this happened for anyone else? Hope we hear back about financial aid packages, soon!

That happened to me too!

Emory is by far my first choice but I can't commit until I know if I got financial aid. Other school app deadlines are approaching though, but I don't want to spend money on those or write essays if I'm going to go to Emory!!

Does anyone know the policy about deferring admission to the ABSN program at Emory? I found a handbook from October 2014 that basically says you can't and I'm feeling a bit impatient right now since its Saturday and I have to wait until Monday to call. I see that lots of ABSN + MSN people are deferring, but don't see anything about just ABSN people deferring.
