EMORY ABSN+MSN 2018

Published

So I decided to start a thread for the Fall 2018. Any current/prospective student on here? What GPA did you have when you applied and how competitive is the selection process? If you don't mind sharing your work experience and GRE score, that will be awesome. For those who are enrolled, do you mind sharing your experience?

Hi everyone!! Just 13 more days until decisions are released for priority deadline! So exciting, but the waiting game is excruciating! I filled out my FAFSA back in August when I was submitting my application. Once the FAFSA was completed and turned in, I received a confirmation email from Emory stating that they had received my financial aid application, and that an advisor had been assigned to me for future financial aid guidance. I am not sure if there is a priority deadline for the FAFSA, but I have heard that the sooner you fill it out, the better. It also signals to the school that you are in need of aid. Hope this helps!

Hi @HMorenoT,

I also filled out my FAFSA but I did it twice one for last year and one for next year. The 2018-2019 FAFSA opened on Oct 1st so i would suggest you submit the new one if you are going for financial aid for 2018-2019. I did it since Emory has a summer portion of the program so I wanted to make sure I was fully covered for all months and didn't have a gap in my fin aid.

Done and done!

Woohoo!

Anyone heard anything back yet? I'm so nervous!

I think there is another 8 or 9 days left before we find out about Emory. We will just have to keep waiting and take a little time to smell the roses because once we start the program the opportunity to smell those roses will be few and far between.

Hi all,

I haven't heard anything, but I am sure that we will all be okay. Best of luck to all of you guys, I know I'm waiting anxiously by my computer, but everything happens for a reason! Sending you all strength for the upcoming weeks!

The website states that they will release decisions starting on November 15th. Looking at last years' threads, people starting hearing around that time and then for a few weeks after that.

Does anyone know how much the whole program is going to cost?

It says online that the total for a full time student for fall, spring and summer semesters is $92,509 before financial aid! It also says that includes estimated housing so they can provide financial aid for that if needed.

Is that only for the bsn program? Or is that for the bsn and MSN program?

Does anyone know if we have to find our own preceptors/clinical sites for this program? And how far from campus they could potentially be? I heard Atlanta has some crazy traffic :p

BSN and MSN!

Are you sure? From what I hear it's supposed to be 180k total!
