Emory ABSN/MSN 2016 Program

Hi everyone,

I thought I would get a thread started for the Emory ABSN/MSN 2016 application cycle. I am going to the information session next Friday, July 24th for the program.

Has anyone else started to get ready for this application cycle?

Hopefully your web interview went well!! I sent an email yesterday asking for clarification as I have conflicting information from previous emails, open house, and the SON website about the wait list.

thanks! I heard that open house for admitted student is in February... can you post here if you hear anything new from the admission office?

How / where do we hear back about an admissions decision? I applied before the Dec. 15th deadline and have not yet heard anything.

There should be an update posted to your Emory SON account (application management) with a decision. I applied 9/18 and was wait-listed on 10/6 and have not had another update posted to my account since.

I applied 10/5 and was wait-listed on 10/15, but have nit heard anything since. I expect there will be decisions for a lot of individuals by this month, but technically you can be on the wait list until the day before classes start. I imagine there will be another round of decisions after people decline their acceptances, as well.

Ah ok thank you! Is the SON account the place where there's the green checks from the application stuff or is it the OPUS account?

Anyone on the wait list have any updates? I sent an email to the SON on Jan 18th and haven't heard back. I called and spoke with Terri to verify that they have received my course grade for lifespan development (my account still shows a red X). She said it is 'likely' they have not revisited the wait list at this time... I am so impatient and starting to get nervous!!

Hey! Does anyone know what type of attire we are supposed to wear to the Admitted Student's Day? Business/business casual?

How long did it take you all to hear a decision back? If I turned in my application around December 7th shouldn't I have heard some kind of something by now?
