Oh how stupid I have been. I volunteered for next week to float up to med-surg. because they are short, you know how long its been since I worked m/s, it totally slipped my mind how much crap I am gonna have to do.Rod Rn

I'm confused. Do you want us to call your supervisor or something?

no, i think the OP just needed to vent haha...Med/Surg is tough, but doable. Just tell yourself its just 1 day. :D You can do it!

Thanks all! I am one of the supervisors for er and sicu, I just offered to help the m/s supervisor because she called me, because shes short, but this is the unit where I have sent some of my ed nurses and they come back horrified so I dont know, all I know is I am floating up there tuesday night. Thanks for letting me vent!Rod Rn, Bsn

Ask the nurses there if you can borrow one of their brain sheets... theirs is probably set up to work with the flow of the unit already.

I just thought it funny how when I "dreaded" a certain area- it usually went smooth! All the really nail-biting, and clocking out totally numb and frazzled came unexpectedly when I thought, "Heck yeah I'll go work _____________."
