Taking CEN next week and I am very nervous, any ideas last minute advice? I have been studying casually for 4 months now. Neuro and cardiac seems a intimidating.

I'm taking the CEN this friday, and I agree cardio and neuro are intimidating so I'm looking at several different books and trying to answer as many questions as I can before the test. But at the same time it doesn't pay to cram for it either.

Yes I have been studying but I seem to be getting some cardiac and neuro ? wrong, sometimes the wording is be so confusing. Good luck to you on Friday let me know how it goes.

Havn't taken any practice test yet except for what is in the books I've been reading. If I get them wrong I make sure to get the rational for it and if that doesn't make sense then I look it up on google. So far Lippincott's Emergency nursing question book has been good (a little dated though, 2005), and "Pass CEN" was great, alot of great information and was not as costly as some other books.

I always feel it unfair when they give you four correct answers and you have to choose the best. Only way to test prioritisation, I guess. They always slip in one question on bubonic plague (ticks carry it in Northern New Mexico or Southern Colorado), shellfish paralytic poisoning. Just remember your priorities and good luck!

I used the ENA book to study - and the pocket pearls books by Jeff Solheim. Also took the ENA/BCEN online exam the week before the test. Found many questions on the actual test were similar to the BCEN test. More than worth the $75. Good luck!!

I actually have been studying Jeff Solheim recorded seminar, Boswell and the ENA CEN book. I have actually been doing well on the practice test, I took the BCEN exam today and made 68%:confused::confused: and that makes me feel really bad. And I have been studying almost every day for the last month or so.

Please tell us your experience!! What questions were the hardest? Any content that surprised you??

Im taking my test in two weeks...Averaging 68-72 percent on my practice tests now. Still have alot of studying to do...
