I would like to resume traveling. Has anyone heard anything about Emerald Healthcare Staffing? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, all!! :)
You and me both, sister! I am looking to go to San Diego but I do ER only. I need at least 6500/mo to make it worth my time b/c I will be taking my 2 young boys with me and have to cover childcare with my friend...blah blah blah. $8000/mo would be even better. Trying to figure if I could do nights...doubt it. Oh well, maybe I can get days for 6500 or 7000.

I'd rather be in San Diego too........I'm from there originally (well, I'm actually from the backcountry of North SD County), and I was told that they contract with the hospital that I was born in (Palomar) as well as several other hospitals in the area. That could be a lot of fun.......I've been in Oregon almost 20 years and love it, but this time of year I miss southern CA so bad I can barely stand it.
Geez, right now I can practically smell the ocean......and the chicken ranches......and the smog........:chuckle
Hi! I was referred to Emerald Health Services by another traveler and heard nothing but good things about the company. So, I decided to give them a call. As well, I've spoken to other travel agencies and Emerald was the most impressive. I will be starting my first contract with Emerald this month. Customer service is excellent. My recruiter is great, very helpful, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood everything about starting as a traveler before I signed any contract. I am very excited about it! Good luck to you!
Still happy with Emerald?
I'm using them right now and could not be more impressed. If you like I can tell you my recruiter's name by a pm. She's great. Totally on the ball and they have more positions in southern california in my specialty than all the big companies (Fastaff, HRN, Crosscountry, On Assignment, etc).
Hi Fergus, are you still travelling with Emerald? Could you send me your recruiter's name? I have sent you a pm already. Thank you for your help.
Hey,
I haven't done any traveling with Emerald but have talked with a recruiter there a few times, he is really nice. I believe he told me they only do placements in CA and FL at this time.
I do psych and the one he contacted me about in FL was a psych position, just didn't fit into my time frame.
hello, i'm very interested in travel nursing and have heard great things about emerald. I was wondering if anyone would mind sending me their recruiter's name...i'd really appreciate it. I've heard that your recruiter can greatly influence your experience so i want to make sure i get a good one. thanks!
I am glad you have had a good experience with Emerald. I started to travel with them, but a very good friend of mine was having trouble getting her pay. She was working across the country from her home, and still never got a paycheck. Another girl she was working with was having the same problem. My friend could no longer afford to live without a paycheck. Her recruiter Kevin was not supportive of her financial difficulty. I decided not to travel with them after her troubles. Kevin continues to call me twice a day. Today he called my work, and left a message. I was busy with a patient, and he left this message for me. "Call Kevin with Emerald Staffing." I NEVER gave him my work number. I never told him he could call me at work. I haven't told my work that I was leaving. I am so upset that he called me at work. I almost feel like he is stalking me!
I have a job with another company starting in January. I wanted to wait a few more weeks to turn in my notice, but I had to tell my Manager today after that phone call.
