Emerald Healthcare Staffing

I would like to resume traveling. Has anyone heard anything about Emerald Healthcare Staffing? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, all!! :)

I'm using them right now and could not be more impressed. If you like I can tell you my recruiter's name by a pm. She's great. Totally on the ball and they have more positions in southern california in my specialty than all the big companies (Fastaff, HRN, Crosscountry, On Assignment, etc).

Thank you so much for the information. I would love a "PM". In addition to your recruiter's name, I would greatly appreciate any other information that you could provide.

I look forward to hearing from you!!

Fergus51, thank you so much for the "PM". This information has provided me with a great start!:p

No problem, and good luck.

can you pm me the name as well please.. I did have a call from Emerald at one time but was not headed to Cali so dismissed it...

I've pm'ed you

Just wondering what your specialty was. I'm in psych and hate wasting my time with companies that rarely do psych placements and try to get me into other areas. Thanks in advance!

I would also greatly appreciate some more info on your company. I'm currently with O'Grady Peyton (AMN). Love my recruiter but disgusted with ANM. Can you PM me? Thanks so much

Hi! I was referred to Emerald Health Services by another traveler and heard nothing but good things about the company. So, I decided to give them a call. As well, I've spoken to other travel agencies and Emerald was the most impressive. I will be starting my first contract with Emerald this month. Customer service is excellent. My recruiter is great, very helpful, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood everything about starting as a traveler before I signed any contract. I am very excited about it! Good luck to you!

Specializes in LTC, assisted living, med-surg, psych.

I'm glad to hear so many positives about this company! I got a call from a recruiter last Friday morning, and what they're offering me is enough to tempt me to take a 13-week venture to California, even w/o my family........and I may even DO it if I can't find anything else within the next couple of weeks.

The recruiter told me the agency pays on average $6-8000/mo. if you work 3 or 4 12-hour shifts per week and assists with finding you a place to stay, plus they will help you obtain a temporary CA nursing license. It would take me over six months to earn the same $$ here that they're offering me for a 13-week contract.......well, like I said, I'm tempted, even though I'm really not in a position to do travel nursing with 2 teenaged sons still at home here in Oregon. I'm not finding anything locally that I'm both willing and able to do; I have a second interview with an assisted living community tomorrow and prospects are looking very good, but if I DON'T get it, I'm going to have to do something, because we are sinking fast and someone in our household has got to make some money.
