I am starting online RN-BSN via Chamberlain College of Nursing from July. Just wondering if any nurses out there who will be starting the program or in the program>
Any suggestion/idea is appreciated as it will be my first online program...........
Thank you!!!!
Doing well! Midway through "health assessment" (NR294). Not a bad class -- just lots of writing! No exams, which is nice, but LOTS of writing. LOLNext is community health nursing, which I am dreading for some reason!
Good luck and glad to hear health assessment is going well!
I'm doing Community Health and pathophysiology 1(need it for my grad program) next semester for term A and I'm doing collaborative healthcare, evidenced based nursing and patho 2 for term B (I'll probably be ready for a breakdown after that term ).

wyndrivenrain--I'm slogging through statistics myself. I actually understand some of it. The Sunday evening lectures and template downloads help a lot.
I'll be taking informatics in Jan 2010. What are the course requirements? Thanks.
I find the live lectures helpful too! The information systems class is all about clinical research and how to do searches on Medline and CINAHL, there is quite a bit of work involved between the papers and discussion boards(even the weekly questions have you doing a lot of searches for research and posting finding and conclusions) but it doable.

I am loving chamberlain I am taking a lot of classes. I will be done next semester I can not wait. I am half way through the informatics class, Health Assessments, and Community Health. I have been taking three at a time to get out of school faster. I am writing so many papers I could sneeze and one could come out of my nose. I have to write about two or three every week but It will all be worth it. BSN in 2010:yeah:
Congrats! I have been taking 3 classes term A and then two classes term B to get through quicker, I'd love to do three every term but that sixth class just kills me financially since I'd have to pay out of pocket for it because it would put me over 17 credits a semester. I'll be done in April, I can't wait! Then off to grad school for another 17 months of full-time classes.

Mid-term check in: How is everyone doing? We are finishing up week 4 and are half way through the term. It has turned out that statistics, while challenging finally clicked in my head. I'm also taking NR448 Informations systems for healthcare, this class that I thought would be super easy has been a bit tougher but still OK.
