I am starting online RN-BSN via Chamberlain College of Nursing from July. Just wondering if any nurses out there who will be starting the program or in the program>
Any suggestion/idea is appreciated as it will be my first online program...........
Thank you!!!!
I'm starting week 6 and have a paper due the end of the week. So far I'm really enjoying it. I was able to keep up with everything even with a major move. Who's taking NR351 with Swanson? I'm taking one class the next session and then 2 classes a session after that. I should be finished by July.
Session B Begins today!
So how was Session A overall for everyone? I enjoyed the class, it was a nice transition into online coursework (since it has been awhile for me). I am taking SOC 350 in session B with Wagner. Lots more paper writing, but he seems so interesting. Anyone ever take it with him?
Also, I am getting nervous about taking two classes at a time in the Fall sessions. With work, family and other obligations is it really doable? I am considering taking one class at a time. Opinions please...
I though session A went good. I just finished up in session A: Math114-Algebra, NR351-Nursing Transitions, and SOC350-cultural diversity. For session B I'm taking Math221-Statistics(which looks like a killer class so far ) and NR448-Information Systems for Health care which has a lot of work in it too! It is going to be a busy 8 weeks. I loved SOC350, I thought it was a great class and not very hard as long as you keep up on the writing. I'm powering through with taking 2-3 classes each 8 week session but I need to get through so I can start in a MSN-NP program next summer so I'm loading up. I think two is doable..if you can get a jump on it early in the week and don't blow stuff off until the end.

I'm going to double up during at least one session. I've heard that the "Collaborative Healthcare" class (NR446) is probably the best one to add in with another class.
I'm doing Health Assessment (NR294) this session. :) I had a different instructor for my SOCS350, but it was still a lot of writing!
Has anyone taking math 221 statistics and survived? I'm spending 8-9 solid hours a day working on this class. I'm still lost and I guess you need to know excel to do this class too. I have never used excel, I'm so screwed. I have barely had time to look at my other class. I need a B in this class to get into graduate school and I have barely slept since Sunday and my stomach is really upset because I just don't get it. I can't believe how many hours a day this class is taking up and I feel like I'm getting no where.

No, I have someone else. I'm sure I'll get through it but I'm not even done with the all the homework for the week yet. I'm just scared if it keeps getting harder I'm in trouble and have no idea about excel. I have been watching the tutorials but it is like learning a foreign language to me. I still have 2.4 and 2.5 to do for the week's homework and tomorrow is Friday and I'm doing the problems by following the directions step by step but can't say I'm understanding it at all and it is taking hour and hours to do them. I'm just petrified I won't be able to get to 800 points for a B in the class and I need at least a B.

I have heard arguments that algebra lays a foundation for critical thinking, in this case I'd say it is just a refresher of sorts for statistics. Good luck! I just finished Math 114 last week.
