bumping....still looking for those books!

Specializes in ante/postpartum, baby RN.

It's good to be busy again. :)

I had my first micro class today, and it was great. I have some classmates from my second semester nursing class and some from first semester. I heard that there are some people from my nursing class who quit the program. They passed every course but decided to quit the program. I don't understand why would they leave. I guess most of them has financial problems or family issues. I wonder how many of us are left...

Anyway, micro looks interesting so far. :)

I am interested to see how our first day class will look in the Fall. I haven't heard of anyone quitting the program but then again I haven't really talked to alot of my classmates since we got out for summer.

I'm glad you like being busy! lol. I started my online courses today also and it does seem natural to be studying again although my courses aren't half as difficult as Micro! I wish you the best of luck! Please ask me for any help but you won't need it !!!!! :lol2:

Thanks, I am sure I will need help later. ;)

Are you taking pharma and patho online?

And Brianna, have you started your classes in Arlington? How is it?

Afternoon all....

Just checking in after the Micro class last night. It was a pleasant surprise to see a different instructor than when I attempted it in the spring. I was actually able to follow and understand the material. Last semester, the instructor was talking above everyone and no one understood. This is the same instructor she talked about teaching us the week she is gong. And she made lab interesting! Although....how interesting can learning a microscope be? I am so scared to start the program in the fall, but I am sure this is normal! How did all of you "deal" with all that is expected? I have not been a full time student in 15 years.....doubting my abilities every step of the way!

I was suprised that we have a different insturctor, too. She seems like a nice person.:)

Okay I went and took the NET this morning. How do I interpret my sheet to know if I passed or not? I asked the lady when she gave me my sheet and she said she couldn't tell me and that I had to call the Health Occupations Admissions office on Monday and ask them. This is really bothering me - all these number and I don't know if I passed or not. :( Also, at the top of my sheet it says "Note: Average and high risk scores determined from LPN degree program scores nationwide". Do all of the sheets say that even though we are going for RN program?

I think you have to have at least 50% in math and reading. It should be in the Nursing Packet that you get from El Centro.

I read the Nursing Packet and still am not for sure how to read this sheet. ???? Does anyone else know?

Your Overall Composite Math and your Composite Reading scores must both be at least 50%.

Hope you did well. :)

(I wanted clarification on this as well & spoke to the asst. dean after I took my NET.)

(Yes, my sheet mentioned LPN as well.)

I guess I will just have to wait until Monday and call them. There is nothing on my sheet that says "Overall Composite Math" or "Composite Reading". I hope I did well too. It's just killing me not knowing.
