i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

Hey everybody....!!! It's been awhile since I've been on here.... I've been so wrapped up with school. My major care plan was due yesterday after clinicals (33 pages!!!):eek: And I had test 3 this morning. I got an 82... I was just so tired and stressed about my major care plan, that I didn't study like I should have. I also have a mini care plan due today....:o I'm glad to see that everybody is doing well... Best of luck to you all!!

I have NEVER heard of that.

We have to do a care plan for a CPE and it's only one page. Geez.

This is worse than having to wear white scrub pants.

That's still really good Brianna on test 3!!! I thought it was really difficult especially now with everything that's being piled on us this last minute!

What in the world do you include in a 30 page or 50 page careplan?

I have trouble coming up with 3 nursing diagnoses. Are these ICU patients? I assime they're not since we are all 1st semester students. I mean, I had a pt. with DKA, pancreatitis, and new onset DM. The DKA is resolved and so is the pancreatitis, so all she has left is the DM. Not much you can do with that, especially when she is not having any symptoms I can treat. I don't know maybe you guys are allowed to do more than we are, like patient teaching and IV's?

What exactly is included in your careplans?

Our major care plan due on April 29th or something like that. We haven't really started talking about it. I don't even remember how long is ours, maybe around 20 pages. :clown: So, it depends on your clinical instructor when and how to submit the plan?

Wow.... and I was stressing over 33 pages!!! We didn't have a page requirement, but of course there is certain information that you must include!!

I did feel that test 3 was more difficult than usual too.... Plus I didn't have as much time to study. I'm just glad that it's over.... Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here!

Another clinical group has to have around 60-100 pages!!!!!! I am very happy ours doesn't have to be that big. I have no idea what really takes up so much space. I am very nervous about it. :uhoh3:

Ok, I have made 86 on the third lecture test. The class average is 79 .

It was a really hard test. :o

But I have passed NGT feeding and medication today. :) :balloons:

What made the exam so hard? Just alot of info all on one exam, or alot of non-lecture stuff on it?

Even still, 86 out of an average 79 is great! Don't feel bad about it! You are ALMOST finished with your first semester, and you have done great!!!!

Have y'all started clinicals yet?
