VS-93, Asessment-96, Medication- 100, Foley-90, NGT-95, Dressing Change- 100 (but since I contaminated my gloves, I have to retake it for a 78) :crying2: Honestly, I don't think that I did, but I'm not going challenge it. It could have been worse....I am one of the few THR employees that do not work at a hospital, so I still feel pretty good about everything. I realized that I can't be perfect all of the time!! C (78)=CONTINUE!!!

Hey Brianna, those are GREAT scores! Especially for doing them all at one time! :balloons: :balloons:

We had our first lecture test today and I think it went pretty well. I really don't know how alot of people did but I think it did pretty good. I got a 92 and I was really shocked at that grade! It's still 2 points shy of being a "nursing school A" but I am pretty proud of it.

I am going to send you that phys. assessment sheet we got at the seminar tomorrow.

Thanks for the paper.

You did great on the test. :balloons:

As I know (Nursing Student Handbook) A is from 90 to 100. You've made an A, haven't you?

Thank you..! You did extremely well on the lecture exam as well!!!! How did you study for it? I've heard so many different ways, and I'm nervous b/c they say Nursing exams are a totally different format than let's say a micro exam. Did you buy the Fundamentals Success book? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. GOOD JOB!!!!

I think it's an A according to our handbook now that I look at it and that's pretty dern good for my first try. Now all of my other tests will be bad grades haha...I can see it now.

I did buy the Fundamentals Success book and I really feel that helped me. I also answered questions on MedsPub which was an excellent source. I also record the lectures and listen to them over and over and over again which I think has helped me too. The questions are very different because it doesn't matter how much you memorize (like in micro and a&p), you are given application questions and have to be able to fully comprehend the material and apply it to situations. Once you get that idea in your head (at least to me) the questions become easier to answer. I study about 30 hours/week so that might have been part of it too. I am hoping that my other lec. tests will be good grades! This is the only the first test

Brianna & Katie, let us know how your exams go! And Kaite, good luck on your check-offs!!!!!

Thanks for the advice.... I don't study as much as you do (so far), but I feel that the Fundamentals book has great examples and I have done well with those. Good luck Katie with check-offs, and the exam!

Thank you guys.

We had our first lecture test today using scantrons. I will know my result by Friday. I think I will make a high B or maybe an A. There were some questions that were hard, but there were no history questions at all.

Now, I just have to survive the check off tomorrow.

You all are doing great!

Good luck tomorrow, Katie! :)

I've just finished VS check off. I was so nervous. I talked a lot and that helped me. I know that I passed, but I don't know the exact grade, because Mr. M has to review the documentation today. He is going to tell the grade tomorrow. I know that some of my classmates didn't pass, because they got a pink paper back. :(

Have you had an extra activities quizz after the check off? There were some tricky questions there.

How are you all doing in class?

Congrats on passing...!! I think that I was most nervous about vital signs too b/c I have a hard time hearing due to listening to loud music when I was in high school :chuckle !!

We didn't have an extra activities quiz afterwards... maybe it's b/c we did all the skills at once.

I started my clinicals today!!! I'm at Harris Methodist Fort Worth and I really like it. All the nurses seem pretty nice so far. Has anyone else started clinicals yet?

I have my first lecture exam tomorrow.... please keep me in your prayers!!

Good luck on the test.

Have you worked at the hospital before?

We start clinicals in March.

Good luck to you Brianna!!!! You must be very smart to be able to go through all that THR students go through. I think EC/NL have it alot easier.

Katie, that's great you feel so confident on your test! I would hate not knowing what I got right away. Ours are all on computer which I kind of like because of the immediate grading. I know you did well! and great job on the check off! If you talked the whole time then I am sure you passed 100%!

Thank you very much!! No, I have never worked at a hospital before, but I am thinking about transferring so that I can get more hands on experience and exposure!!

When do your clinicals end? Our last day is April 20th. I'm worried about doing careplans... have you bought a book to help with that?

Brianna
