i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

I talked to my classmates after the test and some of them didn't pass but I found one who made over 1000. :lol2:

I thought it was very difficult and my score proved that theory! I also didn't remember everything and I had never seen some of that material before. I'm not trying to blame anyone, but my first semester instructor didn't prepare us well at all!!! I know i've posted that before but it's the truth. I didn't miss hardly any questions that we're covered 2nd semester.. Maybe I just didn't learn as much as I thought 1st semester! I dunno... It's very discouraging though.. If I couldn't pass that, should I be progressing to 3rd semester??????? I need help!

No....you passed each semester. Now you know your weaknesses as far as theory goes.

Your skills are good, and hopefully the case studies will help with the weak theory spots.

i'm sorry i haven't posted in a few days- i went to austin for the weekend and i just got back. my husband and i had been planning to go since the beginning of september and it was perfect timing because i got an 898 on the hesi and we needed a 900. oh well. i've accepted and there's nothing to be sorry about. i will do the case studies and learn what my weaknesses are and go on into 3rd semester. with all of the disappointment from friday- i had forgotten i had made it into 3rd semester! :lol2:

brie- do you have to go to ec on monday at 1p? i'll be there!!!!! :D

Yeah I hope the case studies will go by quickly but I'm also hoping I will actually LEARN from them!!

Our teacher, Branscome, told us the Iggy book would be extremely helpful because she knows that some of the 3rd semester teachers pulled their test questions from that book. I'm going to get it just because I heard it was such a good book. I'm not sure which other books we should be buying?? I thought all 3rd semester was MedSurg and cardiac stuff so we should already have all the necessary books right? Have you guys heard of any other required books?
