Specializes in ante/postpartum, baby RN.
And how about those Virtual Cllinical Exc. Cd's "Nursing Care of Children" ? Do we need that one too?

Petra

We had to fill out 10 chapters using a boring CD. It took a lot of time and a lot of handwriting. I don't know if you need to do the same thing.

Katie

Specializes in Nephrology.

I really hope that they don't have that next semester. We filled out a survey that mistakingly asked us what one thing we would change and we pretty much got the whole class to write "do away with virtual clinicals" :lol2: Hopefully they'll read those things!

I thought that the Kee Pharm book wasn't very helpful either. I didn't even reference it and passed pharm with no problem the first time. It might come in handy in other semesters which is why I'm hanging on to it...

I read Kee during summer break to introduce myself to pharmacology.

My instructor told us that they haven't made any pharm cards for 3rd semester and they will be giving us a list instead. So I'm guessing that we'll have to look them up in Kee.... :uhoh3:

Specializes in Operating Room.

lalajenn??????? Is lalajenn around?????

If so.....Happy 'belated' birthday!

I was just reading back about # of careplan pages & saw that your bday was on the 29th. Hope it was a good one!

By the way, I still haven't completed my table of contents, nor my works cited page, but I think I'll end up with 25 pages.

I'm not sure what y'all did to end up with 50, unless you used big type. I used size 8 font on my Dx and patho pages to keep each one on one page.

Anyway..........Good luck to everyone in the next week or two. :)

Thanks Fun!! I can't believe I am 30!!! :smackingf

Good luck to everyone!!

lol...... 30 is a good age. It's only old when you're a teenager. hahaha

I cried at 25, so I'm ok with being in my 30's. I'll let you know if that changes when I'm almost 40 though. LOL

The one who refused to drop? Boy I hope she passes. :lol2: There is gonna be a lot of action around EC when she passes and the others who where forced to dropped find out.

...does anyone smell 'butt smoke"??? :rotfl:

I am one of those people who had to drop because of that rule and I am not happy about the whole situation. I have left messages with several faculty at El Centro and so far no one has called me back and I have contacted a lawyer now. I don't think it is fair for everyone who had to drop. If the person who is staying in the program now is forced to drop than I am really sorry but I think if we all followed the rules, than she should too.

For some reason I was upset when I turned 21. LOL I don't feel too bad now after turning 30. I think just what makes me feel so old is my daughter who is the oldest is 11 and has an attitude of a 16 year old.

I'm sorry you had to drop. I hope contacting the lawyer does help.

As far as feeling old....I had my 1st one young also. She is 15, the youngest is 9. She reminded me that she will be 'double digits' on her next birthday.

Lalajean,

I hope your lawyer challenges that "two tests below 70" rule. It is silly.

I am not one of those people that believes I am entitled to everything, but hard work is hard work. As long as you are not a danger to patients you EARNED the right to stay until the end of the semester when you got a 4.0 in your pre-req's, took the NET and got accepted!

Happy Birthday Lalajean!

:o :balloons: :biggringi :hbsmiley:
