i know some of us have received our letters so i was wondering who else i will be making this journey with for the next 2 years.

my name is allison shaffer and it's nice to meet you. i know we will all be close because it's a small group. it would be nice to get to know some of you before november 17. :)

I can't believe it's been a year already and that I have been a member of allnurses for that long. (and been in nursing school that long too)

We have one more clinical, but I'm not really sure if we overdoing our hours or what. Oh well.....the more practice, the better.

I have my major careplan finished pretty much, but I have to go get more ink to print it out. lol So, I'll turn that in Wednesday when I go back to the campus for lecture.

Did y'all get up to two patients, or did you only have one the whole time?

yes , we had two patients for the last 4 times. 2 careplans everytime, fun, fun, fun, lol . I loved the clinicals, but the careplans, well lets just say thats another story. :D

My lecture class update.

I got an email from my instructor that says that we can stay at NLC for the lectures. Dr. B. will come and lecture us on the remaining pedi stuff.

Well I talked to my instructor today about my situation.... her words were " I would not drop with an average of 79." So... I decided to stick it out. I'm going to need all the help I can get!!!:p Hopefully this will work out for me... again, thanks everybody for all of the support.

Oh yeah and every doctor I met there stepped out and introduced themselves to me. Me, a little ol' student nurse. They were so receptive of the students which I thought was great.

PICU was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have found my thing! I had the absolute best experience of my nursing clinicals so far.

I am happy for you and sad for the little girl. I think I wouldn't be able to do any pediatrics. It's great that you can go back there again. Have a great clinical!

PICU was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have found my thing! I had the absolute best experience of my nursing clinicals so far. I was at Medical City which, I found out today, is an awesome hospital (also a magnet hospital thanks to the nurses! :D ) I had a woooonderful nurse with me on the floor today who taught me so much.

I'm glad you found your calling!! I still have no clue what I would want to do... I hope everything works out for the little girl.
