El Centro spring 2017

Published

Checking to see if there are any other applicants applying to elcentro spring 2017 program .. I'm looking to have 24 points before taking my hesi test Jan 2016 ..

Do your girls know how long Sentry MD takes for it to submit everything? I will be able to submit after my physical which I will not ge until next week.

I submitted my Sentry MD information on 6/30 and got an answer back within hours. I was shocked, as they say to expect a 7-14 business day wait for a response.

@lizadrianagarcia7

I turned mine in Tuesday morning and received a response back later that same day.

Well I will not be able to apply until next year for Fall 2017 due to not having the Hep A series completed. Good luck to you all. :)

Oh no. Sorry to hear. Well good luck on your Fall submission and good luck on your nursing journey. ;)

Oh no!! I'm so sorry!

Hello ladies. so I was also planning on applying to el centro for spring 2017 but unfortunately my Hep A won't be completed by the deadline. I was so sad that they changed the requirements for immunizations. Are any of you all applying elsewhere as well?

I was shocked about this new requirement honestly did they just change it right in the middle of the application period.

I am so sorry that your application is going to be delayed because of the immunization requirements. It seems like there are a lot whose would be complete within a few days of the deadline, and it is super disappointing. I had to delay my application for the last group because my lab titers came back as nonimmune and I had to redo a Rubella and Varicella series and they weren't done before the deadline. So I know exactly how disappointed you feel.

I am not sure when they changed the policy, but in the Immunization & Physical Exam Requirements packet, it says effective Spring 2017 (I think the wording is confusing - they should have been more clear that the policy would apply to Spring 2017 applicants and not make it sound like the policy starts in Spring 2017). That packet is dated November 9, 2015. So pretty much anyone would have to have started their Hep A/B series in Nov or Dec to be finished by the July 15 deadline.

I am not applying anywhere else. I put all my eggs in one basket with applying to El Centro. If I do not get accepted here, I may look into Brookhaven's program and see how qualified I am for that program. I'm just reeeeeeeeeeeally hoping I make it into EC's program this time!

Awwww sorry to hear. No, they didn't change in the middle of the application period. From what I noticed they did changed the hep A and hep B requirements in May.

As of now I'm only applying to el centro. I looked at Brookhaven as an option but I don't have 2 of the classes they require. My first choice is el centro anyways so I'm really really really hoping to get accepted there. If not, then I'll consider and research other potential options
