El Centro spring 2017

Checking to see if there are any other applicants applying to elcentro spring 2017 program .. I'm looking to have 24 points before taking my hesi test Jan 2016 ..

Today marks 30 days til the deadline for spring 2017:yes::up:!!! Everyone excited?!?!? Has anyone turned in their application yet? If so, how many points did you apply with?

I will be applying with 32 points for the Spring semester. I am nervous though as the second Hep A dose is required to apply. I received my first dose Jan. 19 before I applied for the Fall semester. I was sentry complete then. I didn't get in for Fall because I only applied with 19 points. So my question is... can I get the shot early or will I be disqualified because of a technicality of not waiting a few days?

@ACline86

Hi,

You are required to wait 6 months for the second hep A shot which would unfortunately be 4 days after the deadline. I wouldn't suggest getting it early because I would imagine that would disqualify you since its before the timeframe requirement they have provided. It can't hurt to call or send an email asking them just to be on the safe side but I would imagine you may have to wait and apply during the next deadline period.

I will be applying for the Spring 2017 with 32 points. I have no idea if this is good or bad?

I also had the same issue with my second hep A dose being due after the deadline so now I have to wait to the next application period to apply.... Very upset about it

Hello guys, the application for Brookhaven college close at the of September in cas you want look that up! í ½í¹‚

Where did you read that? Everywhere says July 15th

July 15 is el centro for brook haven check that package only.https://www.brookhavencollege.edu/programs/hhs/nursing/Documents/Information%20Session%20BHC2222.pdf

I don't know about "harder" but students that score well on the HESI will ultimately be the ones to fill the allowed spots first. An 86 is awarded with 1 point, whereas a 96 is awarded with 7. That is such a significant jump in points.

I applied for acceptance to start fall 2016 with 27 points (old point system). I'm super worried I wont make the cut. Our letters go out this Friday. If I dont get in I will reapply for spring 2017.

Good luck to you!

HESI Scoring, per the new packet is:

1 point = 80-84

3 points = 85-89

5 points = 90-95

7 points = 96-100

I will be applying for the Spring 2017 with 32 points. I have no idea if this is good or bad?

I don't think any of us know what is good or bad with the new points system, except if someone has 49 or 50 points, haha. We don't have anything to compare it to. Before they changed it, I had 35/40, which according to the posts on this site, I had a good chance because I was well above the cut-off. Now I have 42/50. :wideyed:

Has anyone turned in their application yet?

I submitted to Sentry MD today and received the "complete" confirmation email a couple hours later. I will be turning in my packet to El Centro tomorrow!!

Please be aware that the requirements for Brookhaven are quite a bit different than El Centro/Northlake's ADN program. I would start another thread about Brookhaven so as not to get the two confused.
