Checking to see if there are any other applicants applying to elcentro spring 2017 program .. I'm looking to have 24 points before taking my hesi test Jan 2016 ..
I don't know about "harder" but students that score well on the HESI will ultimately be the ones to fill the allowed spots first. An 86 is awarded with 1 point, whereas a 96 is awarded with 7. That is such a significant jump in points.
I applied for acceptance to start fall 2016 with 27 points (old point system). I'm super worried I wont make the cut. Our letters go out this Friday. If I dont get in I will reapply for spring 2017.
Good luck to you!
Based on the new scoring system, I have 42/50 points. Based on the old system, I had 35/40. I'm guessing they changed the points to eliminate low HESI scorers, and put a bigger spread between the candidates, but really I have no idea.
Waiting to finish my Hep A/B series so I can submit to Sentry and submit my packet before the deadline.
Hello,
Im new to the site and just wanted to wish good luck to everyone. Im planning to apply for the spring 2017 program. Im not thrilled about the recent admission changes but it is what it is. I've already taken the Hesi and passed (received 85% on average hesi)but I want to get my score a little higher so I will be taking it again in two weeks. Cant wait. Good luck everyone!!
I was able to take the hesi my first time may 20th it was harder than I expected I was only able to pass one section with 85% which was reading . I did not study at all I wanted to get a feel for the test and was able to come very close to 80% on everything except a and p section but I feel more confident in taking it again on june 25 and I also have a date of july 8. Good luck to everyone I am stressed to the max but Im praying everything falls in place for me.
