El Centro Spring 2018 Nursing Program Hopefules

Hello Nursing hopefules!

I will be applying for the El Centro Nursing Progam for spring 2018. I wanted to know if anyone else is working on their applications and how far along. Here to provide and receive support and help. I currently have 26 points without the HESI. I was only missing 3 points from the RN-BSN courses. I have taken the HESI 2 times before and there would always be one subject (grammar) that held me back from submitting my application. I did not take the HESI seriously and never studied for the test. This time is different. I have been studying my head off for 2 weeks now. Taking the HESI for the third and final time Feb 11. Hopefully I get to meet some future el Centro students here and start our journey together!

I've heard it's not the best program, but I just hope that doesn't make it harder than nursing school already is....

Hello! I am planning to apply fall 2018 if all goes well. My question is should i begin uploading my items to sentry. I have not took my hesi , should I schedule that as well? Anything else I should being doing besides studying ? Anybody else applying fall 2018 ?

You cannot start sending your health records to sentry until the appilication filing period for fall 2018 begins. Take the HESI now and get it over with. Just be sure you study for HESI

I applied with 32 points. I have all BSN courses complete except chem, which I'm taking now. I finished my associates of science in May. I'm not sure if that's going to help at all, but it couldn't hurt. I applied to both El Centro and Northlake. I'm really hoping I get into the Northlake one, since I go there already. I would really hate driving to downtown Dallas everyday. I also applied to Weatherford College ADN Program. If I dont get in this time, I may try TWU once chem is done. Good luck to everyone!

For the most part, you will only have classes twice a week. One day for all your lecture classes and one for your skills class. You may have to come in for the random simulations. But at least you don't have to be at school every day of the week like you do with most regular classes.

Did anyone apply for El Centro/Methodist program???? I did.. I got an email for an interview.

I applied for the regular admittance. Does that mean they'll start mailing letters soon?

I don't know.. but Methodist emailed me and told me that EL Centro has not send them the list yet. so I don't think they are sending the letters yet.

Thank u Linda, i am going to take my hesi on october and apply for 2018. i have 20 points without hesi, so would you please can you give a hints for vocabulary and grammar. English is not my first language because of that i am poor in voca and grammar. This is my second hesi, so could you please give me a hints on how to prepare for those 2 subjects!
