El Centro/ Northlake Nursing Spring 2014

Hello all! I'm new here and have not seen a post for El Centro spring 2014. I was originally planning to apply for fall 2014, however I just heard that the point system and prerequisites have been revised! Now I will be able to apply for this spring! I don't know if I will get in, but its worth a shot! Anyone else applying for spring 2014?

PD82-I took mine at El Centro. They have extra dates that they don't post on the calendar. You have to email them at [email protected].

Just FYI to everyone, although the application deadline says Aug 31st because that's a Saturday applications are due Sep 3rd walk in by 5pm! I called today and that's what I was told :)

Ibwantnin2- I'm in the same boat as you. I'm praying and leaving it in God's hands. I re-take my Hesi tomorrow. If my studying paid off, I'll have 30, otherwise 25 if I use my other Hesi results.

My HESI testing did not go so well. I turned my application in with 26points. I'm not happy about it but I did my best. Does anyone else have less than 30 points?

Hey girls,

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I am 26 year old male, having previously served in the US ARMY, living 3 years in Asia. I have spent the last couple of years preparing for nursing school, and after much perseverance, today was the day. I told myself that the day I turned in my application I would introduce myself to everybody, and here I am.

I just turned in my application after ensuring everything was in order, and was not happy about the points changes. I know it helped some folks, but it hurt me. I went from having 26/30 to having 29/40. No dice. I think I may barely make the cutoff, or perhaps have to attend Northlake. Either way, I am keeping my fingers crossed and am taking 18 hours in the fall in preparation for business school at UTD, I hope to pursue a bachelors in healthcare administration during the summer months. I really look forward to meeting and learning with everyone, you all seem like a lovely bunch of ladies.

Hey everyone! Hope y'all have your applications in! I submitted mine on the 23rd after taking the hesi for a second time. No flu shot because it wasn't available yet! Application submitted with 34/40 points, if that doesn't get me in I will cry. Also applying to Brookhaven program, their application isn't due until September 30. Wishing everyone good luck and little anxiety while we wait for letters!!!

Thanks, now I'm more nervous about 26points. I have to agree the previous application gave me a better chance of getting in. Northlake is my first choice so as a worst case scenario ill see you at northlake. Good Luck although I don't think you need it with 29 points.
