El Centro/ Northlake Nursing Spring 2014

Hello all! I'm new here and have not seen a post for El Centro spring 2014. I was originally planning to apply for fall 2014, however I just heard that the point system and prerequisites have been revised! Now I will be able to apply for this spring! I don't know if I will get in, but its worth a shot! Anyone else applying for spring 2014?

MrDoug1-I'm in the same boat as you, 29 points. I'm hoping that our numbers are high enough to get in. Since it's the first time with the new point system, it's hard to gauge where we stand. Let's hope for the best!!! Fingers crossed for everyone and now the waiting game begins.........

...I was not aware that El Centro was open tomorrow...

the testing center will be open in the paramount building but everything else is closed.

hey guys! i have a quick question.... do we need to make atleast a C in algebra to get the points cuz i got a D in it. but i dont know if that will count? cuz i know the supporting courses need to be atleast a C. but idk if that applies to algebra as well...

That's a good question. I also had a D in two of the support courses. It did not specify on the point sheet if they had to be C or greater. I'd like to know as well....

...support classes (extra points) are for the ADN to BSN program through UTA, and their website specifies "C" and above, so I think you will not receive credit for anything below a "C," but I would call El Centro just to make sure...also, if you chose to continue your education beyond ADN, nothing below a "C" receives credit, so sooner or later the class will need to be repeated :( ...

so i spoke with one of the ppl at health occupations office, and they told me that anything below a C will not receive points. so that answered my question..lol
