Declaratory order Texas
I haven't even started it. I am waiting to do the fingerprints and have the background check come back. I have been arrested so many different times that I have lost track. Writing an explanation for each time would be impossible. I am hoping that only a few of the big ones show up and not the random overnighters that I've done over the years. I am hoping to do the first semester while waiting to hear back from the board and if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out.

Regarding the background check: as long as you haven't been convicted of any felonies you are good right?

El Centro/ Northlake Nursing Spring 2014
After we get accepted is it back to gathering paperwork, doing the background check and getting fingerprinted?

El Centro/ Northlake Nursing Spring 2014
Hey girls, Longtime lurker, first time poster. I am 26 year old male, having previously served in the US ARMY, living 3 years in Asia. I have spent the last couple of years preparing for nursing school, and after much perseverance, today was the day. I told myself that the day I turned in my application I would introduce myself to everybody, and here I am. I just turned in my application after ensuring everything was in order, and was not happy about the points changes. I know it helped some folks, but it hurt me. I went from having 26/30 to having 29/40. No dice. I think I may barely make the cutoff, or perhaps have to attend Northlake. Either way, I am keeping my fingers crossed and am taking 18 hours in the fall in preparation for business school at UTD, I hope to pursue a bachelors in healthcare administration during the summer months. I really look forward to meeting and learning with everyone, you all seem like a lovely bunch of ladies. - Doug
