El Centro/Methodist Dallas Fall 2014

U.S.A. Texas

I've created this new thread for those applying to the Methodist Nursing Program linked with El Centro. This program is for those that are employed, have immediate family members employed, and volunteers that have reached a certain amount of hours at a Methodist hospital. They currently are only accepting 10 people per semester.

If you get into the regular el centro, check out tuition reimbursement with hr and see the guidelines if any for it. There are way too many options for you because you have already became a full time employee. You will get there...

Yes - if you are full time at methodist they will reimburse you for a nursing degree :) I believe it's up to $5000 a year or something. Which - through a community college should be enough!

Congratulations! How many points did you apply with? If you don't mind sharing.

I'm unsure if some of my classes got accepted but somewhere between 31-34. And I am full time at the Mansfield location. Thank you! :)

I did not make it in for this round. They said that I did not rank high enough all though I have 29-31 pts. I will be submitting through the traditional el centro for spring 2015.l

I did!! I'm in!! Wahoo!!

Yayyyyyy!! Wish i would have applied myself, but I didn't feel comfortable with 33 points! Congrats to you!!

Hey what do you do at Mansfield methodist? I just started there:) but only PRN, not full time due to family and school :)

I'm a pct in post partum and newborn nursery! Where do you work? :)

Awwww lucky! I would of loved to have that gig!!!! I'm a PCT on the 4th floor :)

Where you work is where I would looooooooove to be and work as an RN. But - we can't have it all right? :) maybe I can get an internship there after I graduate in dec haha!

Oh awesome! Day shift or nights? Did you get into the Methodist program? I started on 5th floor and after 6 months got hired on post partum. It's so hard to get hired on our floor and they only do full time positions which makes me nervous for school :/ and they don't do internships on our floor (but they want to start) so I'm thinking Methodist Dallas is where my nursing career may start! Hopefully when we graduate they will have an internship program tho (:

My mom was a nurse on 4 so I know all the nurses. Seriously the best floor (besides pp/nursery). The nurses are amazing!!
