Hello All!! I know it is VERY early to be thinking about this but the process to get in takes quite a long time. I wanted to make a thread to help us all get through the application process together, share problems, feelings, etc. :)
Hello All,I am very new to this thread and applying for ADN program for 2015 Fall. I don't have social security number, as I am on H4 visa. Can someone please let me know whether I can b accepted by this program eitherat El centro or North lake college? I heard, there will be limited opportunities for clinical stuff without having SSN. However the nursing packet doesn't say that I will not be allowed.
Please share your experience. Appreciate your help and time.
Thanks, Asha
I just thought I should attach that for you.
Anyone who has dealt with sentrymd know how long it takes to process? I sent mine via email Monday and haven't heard anything. Also no one at the company will call me back. Getting anxious. Thanks
When I sent in mine, it took like 4 business days for them to reply me. I guess, maybe is because of the application period, having to deal with too many app.that's why they haven't answered. But I'm sure they will get back to you probably, by next week or so. Good luck!
Same thing for me. It takes approximately 4-5 days to get clearance from sentrymd. You can follow up with them, too.
Just FYI on social security requirement, I met with the dean of Nursing at El Centro. She said, SSN is not required for selection into ADN program, however SSN is required to get into most of the hospitals for clinicals. There are very few hospitals which accept students without SSN. That said, I will take a chance.
I am applying with 29 points. What do you think, is it enough to get into ADN program?

29 points is a good one! The cut off for the last set that were accepted into the program was 27, so you stand a better chance of getting in. :-) good luck!

No. You need a social security number in order to apply for any nursing program. I think it is on the website. I think it's best to wait until you get a social security number. I would concentrate on my BSN prerequisites while waiting for my social security number, so by the time you get it you would be done with your BSN prerequisites and ready to apply for a regular BSN nursing program. Good luck.
