Hi everybody :)So I just took the NCLEX yesterday. The computer shut off at 95 questions. Did the PVT and got the "An exam has already been scheduled....Contact your Board of Nursing.....Cannot schedule another exam at this time...." pop-up.
I was a nervous wreck because I didn't really study at all. I did maybe a total 300 practice questions over a couple of weeks time and read some of Saunder's Strategies for Test Success the day before the test and that's it.
My test had a ton of SATA like 30-35, a ton of prioritization and delegation, 10 or so meds (most of which I had no clue about), 3 exhibit questions, not a single med calc, but 5 EKG strips....
...But they weren't like "Here's the strip, what's the rhythm?" they were like "Here's 4 strips, which patient would you NOT give this med to?" or "You see this strip, what do you do first?" I thought I did really well on them, but I almost had a heart attack when I saw them and read the questions.
I was so scared when I got to question 76 and it didn't shut off. Then I started biting my nails when it got past 85 and didn't shut off. I was just hoping and hoping and hoping that it would shut off!!! And finally it did at 95 (WHEW!) So glad that's over and done with!
Congratulations, what state is this?
I had 5 EKG strips too...but I wasn't too excited about that since I worked on a cardiac step down unit for 10yrs as an aide and a telemetry tech. What I hated was all the SATAs I had! Those are the ones I despise. My exam was this morning. Got the good pop up afterwards, so just praying its accurate!
