Eisenhower new grad and JFK memorial Versant?

I applied to Eisenhower New Grad and JFK memorial Versant programs in the Dessert. Both program start around September. Anyone else here applied? Let's keep each other updated here. I really need a job so I applied to these hospitals though they are 50-60 miles away from me. Anyone knows the pay rate for new grads there? I want to make sure it's worth the drive and gas expense.

Also, if you're working at these hospitals, can you tell us how you like it and any advices you may have...

I called yesterday - they haven't called any candidates yet!!!! So hang in there! You are not out of the running....... patience, patience, patience, of which I have none....

I called a couple of times within the past two weeks and have been told both times that they have already chosen the applicants. Now I didn't speak to a specific person. I just called HR and talked to a female both times. Not sure if it was the same female though. I hope you are right because I honestly need a job (like everyone else). Everytime I check the progress of my resume on-line it still states that they are reviewing applications. Who knows. The program suppose to start the latter part of September. So Good Luck everyone.

Just checked on-line and received that old familiar msg "someone else was a closer match to their qualifications of a new grad"

So if I don't meet new grad qualifications then what am I? What qualifications do I meet? So frustrating.

just talked to another classmate and she just received her rejection letter from Eisenhower too.

So if you haven't received a rejection letter then you are probably still in the running.

I received it 2 days ago too but it is generic because I completed those questions when I started my application.

Don't feel too bad. I had a friend who was a new grad in 12/08 and she worked at Eisenhower as a unit secretary and could not get a job in their ICU. Job offers are far and few between and it's equally hard there to get hired as other parts of California. They prefer local students like all the other hospitals, and internal candidates.

Good for you L&DNMe! What unit did you get an interview for? I haven't heard back from JFK yet! Hopefully they are not done calling people up!
