I had been thinking about starting this thread all week and forgot about it. I guess the time has finally come! Class starts on Monday. I've been doing some of the ADAM labs to get ahead, but haven't done any of the "Beyond Adam" questions in the lab. I'm planning to start reading this weekend as well. Anybody remember what chapter A&P 1 left off with?
Come on everybody, let's make the next 6 weeks great, with lots of A's!!!
:monkeydance: :monkeydance: :monkeydance:
I'm glad you posted today - I was starting to think everybody had deserted me! My grade is currently sitting at an 88.9 but I will hopefully break into an A if I do as well on the unit 5 test as I have been on the last 2. I printed off the outlines today and it looks like lot of material to cover! I'm going to try to take that test on Saturday. Then I won't have to do unit 6 test until the following weekend.I've got a chemistry test next Thursday and my final the following Thursday. I may be crazy by then! I think I've gained 5 lbs in the past few weeks from all my binges while I study!
Hey guys! Its been crazy for me here, but I wanted to also stop in too see how everyone is doing.. Lana, great average! im a 81--I am hoping to get an A also. lot of work to do.. Im getting ready to take Unit 5 lots of material there too! darn it. well, girls we are all most there.. I hope to knock most of the rest out next week-my kids are going on vacay with my parents!! so time is on my side next week, anyway!!
Hey girls,
My schedule has been a little crazy also w/ school, work, and all the silly little things I have to do before RN school starts in Sept. Right now I have a 96 average, but that will certainly go down. I thought I did really well on the unit 4 test, but apparently I messed something (don't know what) up. Oh well. I'm done w/ all the homework for the class...it's all I've been doing for the last 3 days . I just have to finish up unit 8 labs and I'll be done w/ that too. I don't think he really grades homework & labs??? There was something on unit 3 labs that I know I got wrong and he still gave me a 100% on it. Back to the books...Mel

Okay, so I was looking at our discussions today for unit 5 and somebody was saying that they like the simple answers better than the ones that "use all the other big words and do all the extended research on things. I am not in nursing school yet, so all those response that talk about extended things, I don't understand. I like the simple answers not complex," referring to mine and someone elses posts, and then on my post asked if the info in my post was stuff I already knew or if I looked it up. Maybe I just took both posts wrong, but it made me mad. Yes I looked it up. I did some research, which is something this person didn't do. Then I looked at her posts she's posted for the next 3 units and her posts are very similar to the ones that have already been posted which makes it look like she doesn't do much research. Maybe I'm wrong and it just rubbed me the wrong way. I just look at those discussion questions as a way to learn something new and try to find as much info as I can that I think is relevant and interesting and hope other people can get something out of it as well. In nursing school, there's going to be a lot of complex answers, and not always very many simple ones so you might as well get used to doing the research now.

thanks for reading
Sometimes I think people have nothing constructive to say, so they just say something stupid! To get their two posts in and get credit. They shouldn't even get credit for posts like that! I'll have to go read it. Don't let it bother you! I always learn alot from your posts! Once when I was b.s.ing my way through a question I didn't understand, you caught it, LOL. (A&P I) And you get out of it, what you put into it. So while you can slide by, they are only hurting themselves!
Hugs,
Sheri Ann

Hey Lana,
Oh yeah...I read that post before I came to this website. The other post she was referring to was mine (you and I had the only posts up at that point). I wrote a nice little message back to her comment under your original post. Maybe I'm really childish...but I SO HATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT!!!! She wants to go to nursing school, but not do any research??????? What fantasy land is she in??? Oh well, either learn to deal w/ looking stuff up and taking the time to understand material or flunk out of RN school. Sorry, venting w/ you..LOL!! Mel
