penn foster, a month back someone said we couldnt do it, but a few weeks ago on facebook someone said they were able to take their 1 credit course and it was only 100.00 also on facebook someone posted that a floridia school offered it as well but i cant remember the schools name...i took mine through EC and it took me one afternoon to finish it
I recently enrolled at EC and have been speaking with an advisor. She stated that Excelsior DOES accept Penn Foster's Information Literacy. SOO that will definitely be the route I take because it is cheaper than Excelsior's course.
The problem is not with EC's acceptance of the Penn Foster course, but that Penn Foster will no longer allow students to only take a one-credit course -- I believe you have to sign up for three credits, which will end up being a waste of time for most people, and nearly as expensive as just taking the one-credit course through EC.
I called Penn Foster today and yes, you can take just 1 credit course, Information Literacy, ENG103. The total cost is $115.95, this include the course, transcript, and shipping fee. You take the course online. I am going to call and pay for it on Friday.

I spoke with an admission counselor who updated my evaluation summary and the only course needed for general education is information literacy. Can I fulfill the requirement without going through EC like a CLEP course? I don't know what to do? The IL course is expensive for a 1 credit P/F course. Any advice?
Thanks:)
