So I'm interveiwing for Baycare EAYL tuesday and I'm sooo nervous. I have been googeling and looking everywhere for info that might ease my mind alittle bit. here is some info so that you might not have to dig as hard as I did. You must go to the Health Education center and get the check list stamped. Also you must apply on Baycare's web site and wait for there email. Only TWELVE applicants are selected twice a year. Good luck to those applying I'll see you there and I'll post after my interveiw.
You still have a chance if you haven't been told no yet. My second interview was just on Wednesday the 28th so I'm still thinking there could be some chance still since it's only been 2 full days. I may be hopelessly optimistic possibly but regardless I believe as Haimyem said, "everything happens for a reason." I can show them my passion but it's up to them to decide to do with it. I've been at this nursing school applying thing for years there's no giving up here. If a no is coming my way then I'll send my information again next semester. :)
I'm in the same boat as all of you and I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to hear whether or not I have been accepted into EAYL. I have been checking this particular thread multiple times a day for a week looking for any new clues. My heart completely sunk when I saw that someone posted they got "the call" and was accepted. Here are my observations:
1) The same person who posted they got in also posted earlier in the thread that their second interview was scheduled for June 10th, which hasn't even come yet. Now I am sure that could have been a mistyping. I don't even know the person. We have to ask ourselves though what is their credibility? I don't believe that fact that they received a call is the be all and end all.
2) I received my call for a 2nd interview 2 days after the first interview and had my second interview in the first week of April. They told me then that they would be interviewing people through all of April and I would hear something in early may. From what I have read on this thread people have been getting calls for second interviews and having them all the way up until last week. I don't believe this process is as straight forward or as stream line as we may think it is. So, I think it is possible they may have chosen some of the 12 and called them this past week and perhaps they are choosing the rest this coming week and calling them this coming week.
3) I got so panicky and worried after I read the post the someone got in and received a call on Thursday that I carried my phone around in my hand all day Friday thinking I didn't want to miss any calls. Well, I was in a doctor's appointment yesterday and my phone rang and sure enough I was in the one place I couldn't answer it. I called the number back and it reached the Mease Dunedin Hospital operator and she said she couldn't trace who had called me, but if it was important enough they would call again. EAYL is housed out of Mease Dunedin and there is no reason I would get a call from there except for EAYL I have no other business there. So, I resolved to email the recruiter and she emailed back saying everyone who had 2 interviews would get a call next week.
These are just my observations. Take them or leave them. I'm just putting all the info I know out there in hopes it helps others.
I wish the best of luck to everyone!
I would like to think so. But, I have my doubts. Why didn't they call again that day? When I emailed the recruiter who is in charge of the program why didn't she give me a yay or nay? I told her I had missed a call from the hospital. She was even my interviewer for the first interview. Maybe they were calling to say I didn't get in. I don't know. I guess I will know a definite answer next week.
Sorry guys....For some reason I didn't get emails saying there were all these post questions!!! Anyways....unless they changed it this pick, the call you or email you reguardless. You guys aer getting your call backs a lot sooner than we did! It took about a month for us to get a call for the 2nd interview and then a little over another month to get the yes or no for the program. I was just really annoying and called about once a week until I got my answer. It was funny actually....AS I was leaving a message for someone to call me back to let me know my status...they were beeping in a call waiting telling me I had gotten in lol. Just hang in there!!! If you have not heard a yes yet...you have not heard a no either! :) Call and bug 'em!

When did you interview Mindlow? I'm still thinking positively until I get a for sure yes or no. I have assumed that they possibly are hiring people based on location? I know they have a few hospitals they send the EAYL people to. I'm in Hernando County so I assume if I get in it would be for the MPM in NPR. I actually applied to the program last year but couldn't make the first interview so I had a special interviewer this time, it wasn't ***. Either way I guess I'll get an answer soon.
