Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Fall 2014 Applicants

Hello all,

Who else is applying in May for Fall 2014 admission? Let's keep each other up to date! On the new points system, if my semester finishes as planned, I will have 465/500 points. Good luck to everyone!

I don't think they will, they emphasized that it needed to be "experience in a healthcare setting" and that wasn't really your primary duty. You don't have anything to worry about either way, though!

I've been thinking, and let's suppose they have 4 people assessing applicants. If they are each able to do one app per hour (could be less, could be more, depending upon if they call to verify work experience), and they devote half of their 8 hour day working on apps, and they work 5 days a week, it will still take them 3.75 weeks to go through all of our applications. So I suppose my conclusion is: I need to stop checking my mailbox obsessively! :rolleyes:

I love how thoroughly you thought of this lol! Hey now, they could devote their entire workday to do our apps, what else do they have to do? It IS the summer semester. ;)

Has anybody else had nightmares about their application and/or acceptance?

I kept worrying that they didn't get my application (via mail) until I saw the check come out of my checking account lol.

I was so paranoid about mine that I literally drove 45 minutes (I live Downriver) to EMU TWICE and hand delivered my application AND money order. (I forgot that there was a $30 application fee and I didn't have the money at the time that I turned in my application.) I wasn't even going to risk it somehow not getting delivered! Lol

I hand delivered my application & check & then called to make sure that they had it filed & weren't missing anything! Lol

I actually just called the nursing office (I couldn't help it!) and the woman there said that there was "almost 300" applicants and the point totals are "all over the place". We will find out our fates "the third week of June". I'm going to die waiting that long!!! :nailbiting:

They're not going to tell you much of anything different before they start mailing them out. && you also have to realize that the " almost 300" includes all the applications together not just the traditional program.

Aw! I'm thinking we'll all know before then? Going off of previous years, everyone found out between June 11th-16th.

I'm hoping it's not above 433 (that's mine)! Lol. A lot of the people on here have point totals in the 460s though!
