Hello all,
Who else is applying in May for Fall 2014 admission? Let's keep each other up to date! On the new points system, if my semester finishes as planned, I will have 465/500 points. Good luck to everyone!
I actually asked about that the last time I was on the phone with the school of nursing. The woman said that your registration status will not change until you officially "accept" an admittance offer. I guess that the school of nursing has to manually change your status and they can only do that after you "accept" the offer to attend their nursing school.
Guess I can stop checking it daily then
Hey Ive been searching through here for awhile, thought maybe I should actually create an account. Applied for 2014 fall admission and the anticipation is killing me. Applied last year, didn't get in, hopefully better luck this year. I will let everyone know as soon as my letter comes, good or bad.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you apply with last year?

...And this year? (For a comparison of the old and new point system) :)

Lol don't mind us, we're just all little crazy and flock to anyone who might have new information or new insight.
Sorry I took so long to answer, not trying to kill anyone with anticipation, had to go back and look up last years stuff. and no I don't mind at all. So I applied with: I had/have the 6+ months of healthcare experience (vet tech for 4 years now), I took Nursing 101(A+), took the TEAS and didn't do nearly as well as I should have, no idea what happened there but my score was 74%,took Chem 120(B+), EDPS325(A), & SPMD 201/202(A- in both) at Eastern and transferred the math, English, Sociology, and psych credits from WCC all of which were A's. Not that this matters but I took CHEM 120 twice and got the exact same grade both times I don't remember the exact point total but I did see a counselor after I got the denial letter and she showed me a printout which basically showed me I was about 2 people off from getting in
This year was almost the same but I retook sociology to make it an EMU credit. I believe my point total was 445, which seemed fine until I seen all the high point total listed on here.

I feel your pain.
I felt fairly confident until I started reading everyone else's scores.

Don't feel bad. You're 12 points higher than I am and I have a 4.0! I transferred in EVERYTHING and just started going to EMU last fall. The only EMU credit I have is MATH 110. I think you'll be fine. I don't necessarily think the point totals mentioned on here are representive of the average applicant. I heard the average applicant is between 420-430! We just have a lot of smart cookies on here. :) Hopefully, all of us on here get in! :) There's only 7-8 of us on this thread. (Yes, we made up all of those 140 comments LOL!) We should be finding out this week!
