Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Fall 2014 Applicants

Hello all,

Who else is applying in May for Fall 2014 admission? Let's keep each other up to date! On the new points system, if my semester finishes as planned, I will have 465/500 points. Good luck to everyone!

I understand people have to make other decisions, however the people from my pathophysiology class that were accepted last year didn't find out this early. I'm just saying people need to be realistic.. it would be nice if they did release results soon.. but getting upset with the length of wait won't change anything now.

Not one of us expected results this soon.

Me expected them to mail them the end of this week. What's ******* me off even more is 1. They keep changing what they are saying and 2. Someone telling us to chill out when we have every right to be upset when they keep changing their story.

They should have picked a date from the beginning that the letters would be mailed by and stuck with it. Even if it was June 30th. That's what should have been done.

We are here to vent and share experiences. This is literally the rest of our lives hanging in the balance. We don't need to be told to calm down. It's great that you're disaffected, but people have living arrangements, child care, even relocation to plan for. A little frustration about a huge event in our lives is expected. Called for, even.

HOPING? The end of NEXT week? Officially upset now. :( I wish I wouldn't of been lied to! Just say that it's going to be later, don't get my hopes up and then crush them. This sucks.

I feel ya. But I trust what ------------- says more than any office staff or advisor says at the school of nursing so I feel at least now we know with some confidence that it will still be a while.

I guess it does make sense, with the new point system it probably would take a bit more time to make sure they got it all right.

Hey everyone I spoke with the office today because I needed to get some financial aid stuff taken care of and they said everything is in the process of being finalized and we should all have letters sometime next week. They said they are working with deadlines too because they understand that people who are on financial aid have to accept or deny award letters by the last week of June.

Thank you for this. I know they're doing the best they can. It's nerve wracking, waiting on news that will affect the whole course of your life!

Has anyone's registration status changed yet? Will it change? Ahhhh. Mine still says 'Nursing Intent, School of Nursing'.
