Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Fall 2014 Applicants

Hello all,

Who else is applying in May for Fall 2014 admission? Let's keep each other up to date! On the new points system, if my semester finishes as planned, I will have 465/500 points. Good luck to everyone!

Just called the nursing office and the woman said that acceptance/denial letters will be mailed out late next week!!!

So who did you talk to up there last week? I called & spoke to someone named ---------------------- & she said if they aren't sent out at the end of next week, it will be the beginning of the following week (6/23)! She said he director is out of town all week & he has the final say & nothing can be finalized without him?

I don't know, I called & left a message for ------------------ as well (the BSN Coordinator) to see if she has a better idea.

SERIOUSLY?! I don't know who I spoke to, I just know that it was a woman. "Next week" meaning this week, right? Someone told me "the end of next week" LAST weekend? Grrr!

If you spoke to someone last week & they said this week, I would assume that would mean the week we are in. *****

I am so sick and tired of their ******* ********. We have been waiting almost a ******* month. I literally cannot wait anymore. The director just had to go out of town the week they are finally done? ********.

If there is one thing I've learned from dealing with the nursing office, it's no one knows anything and they all tell you different things. My guess is it will be a big surprise when they come in the mail.

I just thought of something...She can't get approval over the phone to mail out the letters? Why does the director have to be physically there in order for the letters to get mailed out?

Nothing is going to speed up because everyone is anxious. Get use to the " hurry up and wait" treatment! Everyone before us has gone/gotten thru it... I was forewarned, so I guess I'm not really on the pins and needles like everyone else.

previous years obviously had to wait but from the sounds of it we are having to wait longer. And some of us need to know what is going on for the fall for other reasons

I understand people have to make other decisions, however the people from my pathophysiology class that were accepted last year didn't find out this early. I'm just saying people need to be realistic.. it would be nice if they did release results soon.. but getting upset with the length of wait won't change anything now.
