Hello all,
Who else is applying in May for Fall 2014 admission? Let's keep each other up to date! On the new points system, if my semester finishes as planned, I will have 465/500 points. Good luck to everyone!
I agree. The counselors seemed pretty confident when they said the average applicant is 420-430. That's what I tell myself when I'm feeling nervous. Does anyone know if the acceptance letters come before the denial letters? Vice versa? Or do they come at the same time?
I read from previous years that acceptance letters supposedly came before denial letters, however, a woman I talked to at the school of nursing said that they all go out at the same time. :)
Whoah! Just discovered this site yesterday. Find it super cool we can all communicate... and I'm not the only one obsessively wondering, "Am I getting in?" and where I stand.
I have a B.A. in psychology from U of M Ann Arbor. Am going for a 2nd bachelor's degree in nursing and chomping at the bit to learn quick, pass the NCLEX & actually start practicing as an RN = I'm hoping to get into the accelerated program vs the traditional. So, since we have a little bit of time to kill before we actually get our darn letters, I'm wondering what program everyone has applied for and/or put as their 1st choice.
So far, here's a tally of all the diff points posted on this thread:
473
470.25
467.75
462
457.75
456.48
450.25
447.88
445
440* (Me) 1st: accelerated 2nd: traditional
433
420
I only took 2 pre-reqs at Eastern (which hurt me badly point wise). I stand at 440 w/ 1st choice accelerated, 2nd choice traditional.
Of those that posted points, what about your 1st and 2nd choices???

Oh my goodness, I LOVE YOU for putting all of our point totals together in a list lol! Welcome to the board! *Open arms* :)
I'm only eligible for the traditional, so that's my only option. You have a similar point total as mine ... I'm going to be stalking this page (even more now) to see if you got in, because if you do, I'm not far behind haha!
Agreed on transfer credits hurting very badly...I have a 4.0; I'd have 480 something points if I took all my prereqs at EMU. Ugh.
